When it comes to restaurants in Lisbon, the city has countless places where you can eat very well, where the price-quality ratio is very reasonable, and where you can have a good time with your family, friends or partner. The amazing thing is that there are also places where you’ll find all this, with the added bonus of being very beautiful restaurants.
These are places that, as soon as you enter, you are completely taken by the beauty of the whole space, the comfort and every detail they are able to offer their customers.
These restaurants will be the next culprits responsible for the lack of photo storage on your phone.
All because it’s impossible to leave without capturing a few dozen photos, either to remember later or to make your friends jealous on social media. Who hasn’t?

Santa
The Santa restaurant is small, but that doesn’t stop it from being one of the best “dressed” for this occasion, which is to show you which are the beautiful restaurants in Lisbon.
Within the four walls adjoining a small kitchen that can be seen through the service wicket , and the service bar, where cocktails are prepared ready to be served to those who choose the back of the Lisbon Cathedral to relax while strolling through the labyrinthine Alfama, at Santa you’ll find style in shades of pink, wood and gold, and a wall full of saints and religious images, which give this place a very different and peculiar touch.
There are secrets that remain for later
Then there are the beautiful dishes, which we’ll leave for another time when we tell you about our gastronomic experience there.
Address: Rua São João da Praça (Sé)
Opening hours: every day from 10am to midnight
Capítulo, at the Convent Square Hotel
Capítulo, run by Portuguese Chef Vítor Sobral, exudes Portugueseness throughout its menu, and is one of the newest beautiful restaurants in Lisbon.
We tried what the Chef recommended and would order it again, especially the Arroz do Mar with Squid, Shrimp, Cockles and Fish of the Day, and the desserts Pudim Abade Priscos, Caramelized Pineapple and Mint and the reinvented Toucinho do Céu.
As well as the food being spectacular, the service and the space are worthy of a longer visit, of that we have no doubt.
The place where decisions were made
Address: Rua Dom Antão de Almada 4 (between Praça da Figueira and Rossio)
Opening hours: every day from 12.30pm to 3pm and from 7pm to 10.30pm
Herb
A restaurant doesn’t have to have an extremely expensive menu to be considered exceptional. At Erva, where the cuisine is Portuguese and contemporary, there are dishes that will stay on your palate forever.
Despite being a “hotel” restaurant, Erva has its own street entrance, so you won’t notice that it’s the gastronomic space of Lisbon’s largest five-star hotel, the Corinthia Lisbon, in Sete Rios.
As already mentioned, the kitchen smells of a wood-fired oven, where some of the most traditional Portuguese recipes are cooked, but with a contemporary touch.
In the dining room, everything, or almost everything, is green, with various plants filling this restaurant with joy, freshness and lots of color.
The tables and various nooks make Erva even more comfortable and, at the back, a cocktail bar completes the features that make this one of the most beautiful restaurants in Lisbon.
A “jungle” in the middle of the city
Address: Avenida Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro 105 (Corinthia Lisbon – Sete Rios)
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 12 noon to 00.30 a.m.
CRU
There’s a place in Chiado that serves dream Asian food! It’s called Cru and there you can enjoy a sensory experience through various oriental flavors and aromas.
At CRU, the fish, which is always fresh and of the day, is prepared in the purest and most traditional way. And you wouldn’t believe the ways you can taste it in this restaurant.
The beautiful, modern space consists of four floors with more than 90 seats, and in all of them you can enjoy a contemporary menu full of delights.
The presentation of the dishes is a spectacle in itself, which we’re sure you’ll love.
Pure and traditional in an industrial setting
Address: Largo Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro 15 (Chiado)
Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday, from 12 noon to midnight; Fridays and Saturdays, from 12 noon to 2 a.m.
XXL by Olivier
XXL by Olivier is known for its dinners, but every day at lunchtime they have a new delicacy for you to try. We’ve been there before, and we loved it!
This is the first time in its almost 30-year history that this place has opened its doors at lunchtime, a much-requested wish for many of the regular customers of this XXL, but also of the old XL. So what are you waiting for in 2024?
Oh, the stories this place tells!
Address: Calçada da Estrela 57 (São Bento)
Hours: Monday to Friday, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Comadre
Is it a “strange” restaurant? Yes, a little! Starting at the entrance, you have to go through a cupboard to get to the dining room, which seats around 100 people.
The huge room is where most of Comadre’s meals are served. Next to it, after descending a few steps, you enter a cozier space that invites you to have a drink and a chat, if only to discuss the cinematic styles you’ll find in this restaurant, which has everything it takes to be one of the most “different” and sui generis in the city.
At Comadre & Feitoria you’ll also find two private rooms(pink and green), ready to receive groups of up to 10 people.
You have to go through the closet
Address: Rua Luciano Cordeiro 81C (Avenida da Liberdade/Marquês de Pombal)
Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday, from 19h to 01h
Rocco
Rocco, in Chiado, may well be one of the most eccentric restaurants on this list, catching the eye from the outside, where the giant windows are.
It is, without a doubt, one of Lisbon’s most beautiful restaurants and, inside, the red carpet leads us to an experience that promises to be unparalleled, in an atmosphere that is both intimate and challenging.
Lights, reflections and textures help to sharpen our senses even more , creating feelings of strangeness and, at the same time, amazement.
The interior designer, Lázaro Rosa-Violán, eventually reveals to us that all this is true… we are in a different dimension in Lisbon, which has the audacity to offer us unique experiences every time we go there.
On the central stage there’s a 17-seat bar , full of velvet and floral motifs; above it is an incredible hanging wine cellar; nearby is Crudo, a bar that’s always ready ; in the main room, with its wooden tones, the atmosphere is inviting; in the Terraza, with the same seats, you can also enjoy a well-watered lunch; and don’t miss a visit to the bathroom, which must be in the Top 3 of the most beautiful in the city, if there is a ranking of these spaces, of course!
Enter another dimension!
Address: Rua Ivens 14 (Baixa-Chiado)
Opening hours: from Sunday to Wednesday, between 10:30 a.m. and 00:00 a.m.; and from Thursday to Saturday, from 10:30 a.m. to 01:00 a.m.
JNcQUOI Asia
Avenida da Liberdade has never been the same since it opened in 2017! As the saying goes: “always return to the restaurant where you ate well, to JNcQUOI Asia, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful restaurants in Lisbon.
In this beautiful restaurant with oriental decor, the entire interior is a hit on social media, which is filled with photos every day to organically “promote” this space in the city center.
The table is always filled with the best cuisine from Japan, China, Thailand and India, all countries where the Portuguese traveled during the Age of Discovery.
The space has capacity for around 300 people and is divided into four areas: bar, restaurant, sushi bar and terrace, the latter inspired by the streets of large Asian cities.
Like its big brother, JNcQUOI Avenida, where the skeleton of a dinosaur stands out, JNcQUOI Asia also has an iconic piece: a huge dragon that dominates the main dining room.
The road to Asia
Address: Avenida da Liberdade 144
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from noon to midnight
The Boteco
In the heart of Largo de Camões, in Chiado, is one of the most incredible Brazilian restaurants we know, also one of the most beautiful restaurants in Lisbon.
The owner of this space is Francisco Martins, better known as Chef Kiko, who always gives a very special touch to all his menus in the various restaurants he has all over the capital.
This Boteco brings together a best of Brazilian snacks and taco dishes as well as the best Picanha, in homage to the country where Chef Kiko was born.
Inside, there has already been space for incredible art installations, where the artist Bordalo II developed a giant macaw created using recycled materials.
But there’s no doubt that the huge lamp with the empty bottles is the main protagonist of the entire dining room. And that’s why you’ll spend long minutes appreciating this giant structure.
Meeting point at Camões
Address: Praça Luís de Camões 37 (Chiado)
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, from 12:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m.
SEEN
If there are beautiful restaurants in Lisbon, Seen, which is located inside the Tivoli Hotel in Lisbon, is certainly one of them.
It may well be here that you’ll find one of the best views of Lisbon, especially from the rooftop, and you can find your seat right in front of our city.
Elegant and very refined, Seen has an Art Deco style décor where greenery abounds, particularly when you look at the huge tree located right in the center of the bar. It’s incredible!
The atmosphere is relaxed and the signature cocktails do the rest, along with a menu that brings together the flavors of Portugal, Brazil and Japan in complete harmony .
Climb up to the “miradouro”
Address: Avenida da Liberdade 185, 9º
Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday, from 18:30 to 01:00; Friday and Saturday, from 18:30 to 02:00
Mama Shelter
The French hotel chain Mama Shelter stands out for its difference, its boldness, its incredible decor, conceived by a team of design experts who have just one goal in mind: to make the space fun.
Each city has its own adapted decor, and in Lisbon you’ll find a theme linked to the sea, tiles and, of course, Bordallo Pinheiro ceramics
One of the areas that impressed us the most was the ceiling, designed by the artist Beniloys, which is filled with intense marine life, where black and white colors predominate, with fish of all sizes and shapes, including our beloved sardines, reminiscent of Lisbon’s Festas Populares.
And what about the textures? Mama Shelter is a sea of colors and patterns that, contrary to what you might think, actually make you feel quite comfortable.
Oh, and don’t forget to go to the bathroom, which has a mirror that allows you to take incredible photos. Believe it!
Looking for shelter?

Fogo
This is one of our favorite beautiful restaurants in Lisbon. At Fogo, run by Chef Alexandre Silva, everything you taste is cooked over fire, in the embers of the wood that burn in an open kitchen, in full view of everyone, from where the scorched aromas we love so much emanate. We, at least, loved it.
The dark, intimate atmosphere invites you to have a drink at the entrance, in a bar full of signature cocktails with a mix of culinary techniques applied to these creative drinks.
Inside, a series of tables await guests and, on the ceiling, the bar-shaped lamps are reminiscent of pieces of burning wood, emitting a warm light that gives the space an incredible harmony.
Oh, we forgot, outside there’s a charcoal-colored wall that is sure to serve as a backdrop for many creative photographs.
Hot to get there

maat Café & Kitchen
Knowing that this space is in MAAT is enough to guarantee good photos, and this place really is incredible, with a breathtaking view of our Tagus river and the 25 de Abril bridge.
Wood tones invade practically the entire space of the maat Café & Kitchen, which at lunch and dinner starts serving real delicacies of Mediterranean cuisine, the work of chef Natanael Silva, among many tapas and delicious cocktails.
Then there’s the view. What need for more words?
Towards Belém

Editorial Terrace
Speaking of views, do you remember the mythical terrace on the top floor of Pollux? This is where you can now visit a renovated space where eating and drinking well is an art: welcome to Terraço Editorial.
Located on Rua dos Fanqueiros, in downtown Lisbon, this rooftop has been transformed into a restaurant-bar with a wine library that invites you to have a drink or a snack while you take your best panoramic photo of Lisbon, with unobstructed views of the Santa Justa elevator, the Carmo Convent, the Tagus river and the Amoreiras hills.
Inside, you’re sure to discover new “corners” where you can capture that photo that will make an impression on your social networks.

Infamous
Located in the renovated Intendente area, halfway between it and the Mouraria district, the Infame restaurant is an integral part of the 1908 Hotel Lisboa, which has also been refurbished to give life to one of the city’s most iconic buildings.
But you can find out all about it in our dedicated article.
At Infame you’ll find a space with incredible high ceilings, full of patterns and geometric figures that will give your photographs a spectacular setting.
The decor is as modern as you want it to be, full of stunning nooks and crannies that will leave you speechless.
The food will also leave you slack-jawed and salivating. Chef André Rebelo was inspired by the cuisines of the four corners of the world to bring you the freshest seasonal produce. You’ll love it!

Terroir
The Terroir restaurant is, above all, a place to meet, to spend time with family, to socialize with friends and, of course, for that romantic date you’re preparing, having moved from downtown Lisbon closer to the Marquês de Pombal.
And that’s why it’s also one of the most beautiful places in terms of restaurants, with a unique decor and incredible details that are worth a photo.
At the Terroir restaurant you can choose one of the six seats at the counter, where you can interact directly with chef Guilherme Sousa, who prepares some of the most unmistakable flavors in the country, and the world.
Follow the refinement

Cantinho do Avillez in Parque das Nações
If you already know Cantinho do Chiado, you’ll find the same concept in Parque das Nações, with just a few minor differences.
But what brings you to this article is the beauty of the restaurants, isn’t it? Well, Cantinho do Avillez in the easternmost part of the city has a beautiful brick-colored décor, the responsibility of architect and designer Joana Astolfi.
The space consists of two floors and a small outdoor patio, both facing the Tagus.
Wooden tables, a skylight, blue walls and a huge macramé tapestry by Vasco Águas make up the rest of the attractions that embellish this space.
Along the Tagus
Address: Rua Bojador 55 (Parque das Nações)
Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday, from 12.30pm to 3pm and from 7pm to 11pm; Friday and Saturday, from 12.30pm to 3pm and from 7pm to midnight
Alma
You can’t help liking chef Henrique Sá Pessoa and, of course, his most beautiful restaurant, Alma.
It opened in 2015 and a year later it immediately got a Michelin star (it now has two).
Alma is run by chef Henrique Sá Pessoa and is located in a former Bertrand bookstore warehouse, making it one of the most beautiful restaurants in Lisbon.
There is an increasing preference for Portuguese products on the menu, which is why you can find authentic reinventions of grilled sardines, roasted peppers or suckling pig confit with sweet potato puree.
As for the space, it’s incredibly beautiful, with the wood tones standing out , and an incredible stone floor, of that ancient kind reminiscent of medieval times.
The same can be said for the huge stone columns that end in the ceiling, where several elegant lamps in the shape of water droplets are attached, which can give the space up to six different lighting environments.
Path to heaven
Address: Rua Anchieta 15 (Baixa-Chiado)
Opening hours: Monday to Friday, from 12 noon to 3.30 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10.30 p.m.
Prado
We’ve already talked about right feet, and at Prado you’ll find one of the biggest, which always makes for great photos due to the feeling of space it offers, giving it an almost exclusive status among Lisbon’s beautiful restaurants.
The Prado restaurant is located in an old canning factory and, from the top of the roof, there are several lamps that join, halfway down, small areas where the green of the plants predominates.
At the back is the wine cellar, in a smaller, darker space, making the ideal contrast with the rest of the restaurant area, which is presented in very light, sober colors.
See you there
Address: Travessa das Pedras Negras 2 (Baixa-Chiado)
Opening hours: Wednesday and Thursday, from 7pm to 11pm; Friday to Sunday, from 12pm to 3.30pm and from 7pm to 11pm
Chiado Palace
Just entering this 18th century palace is a good excuse to come here for lunch or dinner.
But as soon as you sit down and start to appreciate its huge rooms while you wait – just a little – for your well-deserved meal, you’ll realize that you have to go there more often.
Since March 2016, Palácio Chiado has been reborn to a new life, now linked to the art of good food and drink.
As soon as you step through the entrance door, it’s as if you’ve entered a work of art where every wall tells a story, it’s as if you’ve just stepped into a time machine that will take you to incredible gastronomic places.
Describing the décor of every corner of this space could make this article very boring. That’s why we decided to write an article dedicated just to this restaurant, which you can read here.
It’s big and French

100 Maneiras
The restaurant run by well-known chef Ljubomir Stanisic already has its well-deserved Michelin star, awarded in 2021, but even that wasn’t enough to make it one of the most beautiful restaurants in Lisbon.
At 100 Maneiras you’ll go on an ecstatic journey through the cuisine and life of this Serbian chef, whose restaurant is one of the best in the world.
The atmosphere you’ll find there is very intimate and the decor very modern, making the whole “dining out” experience a habit to be repeated many times.
Dark and focused on what matters, the meal that is king, at 100 Maneiras you’ll find corners full of stories, tales of life and food that delights all the senses . And that’s what really matters!
