With a capacity for 200 people, the terrace at Mama Shelter Lisbon is one of the city’s newest and largest, offering an incredible panoramic view.

Our most recent visit to a rooftop in Lisbon took place at what is the oldest terrace in the country—and, who knows, perhaps even in the entire world.

The rooftop at 1147 Lisbon dates back to the year 1147 and is located within the walls of São Jorge Castle.

It is also, without a doubt, one of the places with the best panoramic views of Lisbon, where the striking terrace, nestled right against one of the castle’s ramparts, offers a sweeping vista of the capital.

Inside, in what used to be the Casa dos Leões, you’ll find a cozy restaurant serving a menu full of flavors to suit every taste. But, as we mentioned earlier, it’s outside where you’ll find the best features of this 1147 Lisboa.

Covering approximately 1,500 m², the IDB Lisbon rooftop combines dining, sports activities, and a highly diverse cultural program in a space that was once known to virtually all Lisbon residents as Entreposto.

The legendary terrace on the 8th floor of the Pollux building, located in Baixa, is set to amaze everyone once again this summer.

Sophisticated and laid-back are just a few of the adjectives we can use to describe this magnificent rooftop located between Restauradores and Rossio, in downtown Lisbon.

It’s located on the 7th floor of the Altis Avenida Hotel and offers a unique combination of great food, drinks, and music, with breathtaking , nearly 360-degree views of Rossio, São Jorge Castle, and the Tagus River .

The food is top-notch, so prices may be higher than average, though you can choose from some more affordable options, especially when it comes to cocktails.

Catch Me continues to boast one of the best rooftops in Lisbon, combining a number of elements that make this space incredible and unique—like few others in the capital.

Starting with its location, in the Rua das Janelas Verdes area and right next to the Museum of Ancient Art, it offers a spectacular view of the Tagus River and the 25 de Abril Bridge.

It’s a great place to be at any time of day: whether for a meal with a panoramic view, coffee with friends, a late-afternoon cocktail with the sunset as a backdrop, or a nightcap that brings us closer to the stars.

Lost in is a sort of all-in-one spot: it’s a restaurant, an outdoor terrace, and one of the most incredible rooftops in Lisbon—which, in our opinion, fits the definition of a rooftop perfectly.

Okay, it’s not on top of a building, but I think you can make an exception for this one, right? Especially since the menu—a fusion of Eastern and Mediterranean cuisines—promises to leave you dazzled.

Z Terrace is a rooftop located in Lisbon’s Baixa district, a spot that features a menu designed for sharing, blending culinary influences from Portugal, Brazil, Africa, and Asia.

The bar serves signature cocktails paired with an excellent music selection and views of downtown, especially of the Arco da Rua Augusta.

It’s located at The Vintage Hotel and stands out for its vertical garden, but our gaze is always drawn to the incredible scenery that stretches all the way to São Jorge Castle.

The menu of refreshing cocktails and appetizers also features several options to welcome summer.

Taking the elevator from the reception area of the Tivoli Oriente Hotel up to the 16th floor takes just a moment, but once you get there, you’ll want to stay forever.

From up there, you can almost touch the sky and embrace the Tagus River, which serves as the main backdrop for this bar with 360° views of Parque das Nações.

Its signature cocktails make it the perfect spot for a late afternoon with your partner or for after-work drinks with colleagues.

And to satisfy your appetite, there are small plates and fusion sushi prepared fresh to order.

This incredible terrace is set against the backdrop of the Tagus River, with Santa Apolónia Station nearby.

It serves drinks and snacks late into the night, inviting you to enjoy a relaxedsunset until dusk, with food and drinks accompanied by DJ sets.

The other rooftop in Lisbon to make this Top 50 list is the Lumi Rooftop Bar & Restaurant, which took a no less honorable 12th place.

Perfect for a romantic date, thanks to its more intimate “nooks,” Lumi offers an incredible view of the Tagus River and the Castle, which you can enjoy while savoring a truly interesting culinary selection.

And don’t forget the varied cocktail menu, of course!

The ME Lisbon hotel has opened the ATTIKO Rooftop on its 13th floor, a 38-seat terrace with panoramic views stretching from Marquês de Pombal to Cristo Rei.

The venue serves an Asian-inspired menu and crafts signature cocktails that put a twist on the classics from the original brand in Dubai.

The menu features light dishes, such as the Japanese Chicken Sando sandwich, Rock Shrimp with spicy sauce, and the Chirashi Bowl.

As night falls, the menu shifts to heartier options, including shrimp tempura maki, truffled wagyu sliders, and black cod.

It’s one of the trendiest spots and also one of our favorites.

With a décor featuring wood and lush greenery, when you’re at Park, you almost feel like you’re in a sun-drenched forest.

The view of the city from the terrace is very pleasant.

Located just outside the Alfama neighborhood, at Portas do Sol, Memmo even has a rooftop pool, in addition to an incredible view of the Tagus River.

The bar is stunning in its own right, featuring a modern and very clean design, which makes it one of our top picks.

We don’t go to The Insólito just for the view, but also for the food, the atmosphere, and the decor.

It’s an unusual spot located in Príncipe Real, and it doesn’t present itself in a conventional way.

The season of sunsets and parties has already kicked off at the Hotel Mundial’s Rooftop Bar, next to Rossio.

With a program full of new offerings, plus a menu of delicacies, this terrace overlooking downtown Lisbon has plenty of surprises in store under the theme “Better Together.”

Located in Mouraria is one of Lisbon’s newest rooftops, the Miradouro de Baixo, which now joins the 20 viewpoints scattered throughout the city of Lisbon.

At this venue, which is part of the new Carpintarias de São Lázaro Cultural Center, you can see Lisbon from a different perspective.
