So, in an instant, we think of Lx Factory and the more recent 8 Marvila, where we’re sure you’ll find plenty to entertain you, without having to spend a penny. .. except if you want to take advantage of some of the commercial services that are established there.

There are now 20 official viewpoints you can visit in Lisbon, which one is the most beautiful and will leave you awestruck by the breathtaking beauty of the city.

The Tagus is our “sea”, our inspiration and one of the places where we most like to spend time. And these are our favorite diversions.

The Tagus, but on the other bank
On the south bank of the Tagus there’s a place we really like! We’re talking about Cacilhas, which, despite looking rundown in some places, is a very peaceful and pleasant place.
On this side of the river, there are plenty of things to entertain you in Almada.

“Esplanar”
Because the weather in Lisbon is almost always good, going to an esplanade is one of our favorite pastimes, where you can relax for very little money, ordering just a coffee or a water.
Our list of terraces by the Tagus is incredible and was created for the summer, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy them while the weather still allows.

Free museums on Sundays
In case you haven’t heard, entry to museums, palaces and monuments managed by the Directorate-General for Cultural Heritage is now free on Sundays and public holidays.
The measure, which we very much applaud, as well as all those who enjoy culture and events of this kind, came into force on September 1, 2023, and only citizens residing in Portugal are guaranteed free entry.

Sintra Palaces free 60 days a year
Parques de Sintra already granted free entry on Sundays, but only to all residents. It has now extended the free admission to all residents of Portugal.

The history of “fashion”
Clothes from the past, present and even the future are on display at the Museu do Traje, a must-see in one of the world’s most stylish capitals… Lisbon of course!

Tiles in plain sight
Lisbon is the city of tiles. We have murals, panels, entire façades covered in tiles, old ceramic factories right in the city center.
I ‘m sure you ‘ve passed many of these panels, there are thousands of examples scattered around our city, on practically every street corner.
If you’re looking for free plans in the city, this is one we’d recommend, but be prepared to walk a long way!

A street full of magic
In the heart of the city there is a street, the greenest in Lisbon. It ‘s called Rua Verde and it’s located in a century-old district of Lisbon, near Santos, between Conde Barão and São Bento.

Shopping at Feira da Ladra
Feira da Ladra, one of Lisbon’s oldest antiques markets, is our favorite flea market in the capital.
Most of the times we go there we don’t even buy anything, but it’s always a different experience that we love to repeat on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.

Do you know São Jorge Castle inside out?
The question seems strange, but the truth is that many Lisbon residents still don’t know “their” castle from the inside, just some of its curiosities.
If you’re on this list, you should know that a visit to São Jorge Castle is free for Lisbon residents. An excellent free plan, no?

Marvila, a route through the East of the city
Marvila is getting better and better, with new things happening every day in this part of the capital.
