Cais 19-29
It’s in South and Southeast River Station and is one of the newest terraces overlooking the Tagus in Lisbon.
The space is simply fantastic, especially if you’re looking for a place to relax while admiring our river.
It has three areas: one indoors and two outdoors, and in these two outdoor areas you have the terrace part with restaurant service, where you can sample a full menu of drinks and cocktails, but also share various snacks.
But near the Tagus is the part we liked the most: sun loungers that allow you to feel the breeze of the Tagus while enjoying a very interesting gastronomic offer, at very attractive prices.
Address: Avenida Infante Dom Henrique 1C (next to the Sul e Sueste River Station)
Darwin’s Café
With 56 seats on the terrace and more than 100 inside, this beautiful café in Belém not only has a privileged view of the Tagus River but also of our city Belém Tower, which is right next door.
This really is one of those special places that you only find when someone tells you it’s really spectacular, or when you accidentally come across it while walking by the Champalimaud Foundation.
Address: Avenida Brasília, Ala B (next to the Champalimaud Foundation in Belém)
Catch Me
Catch Me, which used to be Le Chat, has one of the best terraces overlooking the Tagus River in Lisbon. To this must be added a series of ingredients that make this space incredible and unique, like few others in the capital.
Starting with the location, in the Rua das Janelas Verdes area and right next to the Museum of Ancient Art, which offers a spectacular view of the Tagus and the river 25 de Abril Bridge.
Y ou’re welcome here at any time of day: for a panoramic lunch, for a sunset with a live DJ, or a coffee with friends.
During the summer you’ll want to stay cool, but Catch Me is also irresistible on colder or more blustery days, thanks to a glass terrace that offers the same views and that unique atmosphere at any time of year.
Address: Rua Jardim 9 de Abril (in Santos, next to the National Museum of Ancient Art)
Esplanada da Graça
This terrace with kiosk is among our favorites, not only because it’s on one of our viewpoints favorite as well as for the views it offers over the city of Lisbon.
Seriously, if you’ve never been there, take advantage of one of the upcoming hot days to enjoy a refreshing drink on this terrace facing the city. .. and the Tagus, of course!
Address: Graça Viewpoint (Graça)
Ribeira das Naus Kiosk
It needs no introduction, but we make a point of mentioning this terrace because its proximity to the river makes it one of the most attractive in the city.
In addition to the privileged views of the Tagus and the 25 de Abril Bridge, has that unique atmosphere that always makes you feel like you’re on vacation.
As well as a generous drinks list, also has a number of snacks and appetizers to fill your stomach.
Address: Avenida Ribeira das Naus, 5 (Cais do Sodré)
Cantina das Freiras
Located in Palacete O`Neill, in the discreet Travessa do Ferragial, is one of the best kept secrets in the world chiado area.
There are many surprises in store, starting with its name: although everyone calls it the Nuns’ Canteen, it is in fact the canteen of the A.C.I.S.J.F. (International Catholic Association for the Service of Girls’ Youth). And there were never any nuns!
In addition to the prices, which are much lower than the average in that area of Lisbon, this self-service also hides a terrace with incredible views.
With the houses of the historic area in the foreground and the Tagus in the background, it’s perfect for those who like new perspectives of the city, the ones that don’t appear every day in the tourist brochures.
Address: Travessa do Ferragial 1 (Chiado)
Ponto Final
On the south bank, in Cacilhas, there are also several terraces with the Tagus as a backdrop.
One of our favorites is Ponto Final, right on the river, which offers incredible views of Lisbon, from Bethlehem until Parque das Nações, in a relaxed atmosphere so far away from the hustle and bustle of the capital.
In addition to the views, it also serves delicious dishes, especially the dogfish soup, the grilled fish and the codfish pataniscas with bean rice.
Whether for a meal or simply a drink or coffee, this terrace promises to be unforgettable.
Address: Rua do Ginjal 72 (Cacilhas/Almada)
Park Rooftop
It’s one of the trendiest places, but also one of our favorites. With a décor based on wood and intense vegetation, when you’re in the Park you almost feel like you’re in a sunny forest.
The view of the city and the Tagus River from the terrace is very pleasant.
Address: Calçada do Combro 58 (Chiado)
Lisboa Rio
For those very hot days, the best thing is to cool off with a good imperial and the breeze from our river.
This terrace is just three meters from the Tagus.

Adamastor Kiosk
The Miradouro de Santa Catarina is better known as Adamastor, a real meeting point in Lisbon.
And here you’ll also find a spectacular terrace served by the viewpoint kiosk, a place where friends gather for drinks while listening to good music and admiring the Tagus River in the background.
It’s also from here that you can see Lisbon’s port area, and the beautiful 25 de Abril Bridge and the imposing statue of Adamastor, the figure made famous by Luís Vaz de Camões in “Os Lusíadas”, and the dominant piece of this viewpoint, which was placed here in 1927.
