Romantic dinner
In our opinion, a romantic dinner is the ideal way to enjoy Valentine’s Day.
And to be different from the usual, our suggestion couldn’t be more special: dinner for two in a restaurant with typical Latin American food, at Ni Michi, in Lx Factory. At Ni Michi you can travel to the Amazon with traditional dishes that respect indigenous roots, history and culture.
What’s more, although there are no dates available for Valentine’s Day, you can extend the celebrations by surprising your better half with tickets to the tempting culinary event Dining in the Dark at Gulden Draak.
Watch a comedy play
The comedy play Love and Social Networks has returned to the stage of the Pharmacy Museum Auditorium and the timing couldn’t have been better.
It will be on every Saturday in February, and you’ll definitely want to book your seats for February 3, 10, 17 and 24.
In this comedy, which has already made more than 40,000 people laugh, you’ll realize that the characters could be someone you know or even you and your partner. You’ll love it!
Dancing the tango
Never has the expression “it takes two to tango” made so much sense. On February 14 and 17, Palácio do Visconde will host a dinner with an Argentine Tango show.
To celebrate Valentine’s Day with elegance, beauty and good food, on the 14th you can watch the pair Inês Gomes & António Carrasco, and on the 17th, Samantha Garcia & Patricio Rodriguez will do the honors on the dance floor.
Reservations must be made by emailing info@palaciodovisconde.com.
Massages for two
A massage for two is always a great plan for Valentine’s Day. Don’t tell us it’s not a great idea!
And once you’ve had your massage and you and your partner are more relaxed, why not spend the rest of the day pampering each other?
The deep relaxation massage with tea and cookies includes a moment of pure relaxation; a wonderful body massage with organic oils; and tea and some cookies at the end of the massage.
Dinner under the stars at a hotel in Lisbon
The Lisbon Marriott Hotel has prepared an unforgettable experience for couples in love: a romantic dinner full of charm and glamor that promises great moments for two on the evening of February 14.
This exclusive dinner will be accompanied by live music and will take place under the stars at the CITRUS Restaurant, between 7pm and 11pm.
Chef Dominic Smart’s menu includes a delicious appetizer and mouth-watering starters. For the main course, there are two delicious options: Duck Magret with Port wine reduction, oyster mushrooms and three-root puree or Grouper Supreme with cornbread crust and herbs, mussel beignets with green wine foam accompanied by spring vegetables.
Last but not least is the irresistible dessert: Passionate Apple Serenade in the shape of a heart with a caramel topping.
All this for 47 euros per person, which also includes a special raffle of Filipa’s Concept jewelry and Clarins coffrets.
Reservations are required and should be made in advance by calling 21 723 54 00 or sara.matias@marriotthotels.com.
Candlelight concert
In the past, we used to offer cassettes with a mix of the best ballads, but today we can do even better: offer a candlelit concert in a very special place, and it doesn’t even have to be on Valentine’s Day.
In February, you can choose from several Candlelight concerts in wonderful locations:
- Candlelight: The best of Queen at the Pavilhão das Galeotas at the Marine Museum
- Candlelight: The best of ABBA at the Altis Grand Hotel
- Candlelight: The best of Vivaldi at the Church of Santa Catarina
- Candlelight: The best of Hans Zimmer at Central Tejo
- Candlelight: The best of Queen at the Hotel Palácio Estoril
Brunch for two
Everyone loves a good brunch, don’t they? And if your better half (or you) has never had one of these experiences, then it’s time to indulge them.
We recommend four incredible places in Lisbon that we love to go to whenever we wake up late:
- JAC
- Machimbombo
- Sheraton Cascais Market
- Monsantos
Helicopter ride
If you want to leave your crush in the clouds, then a helicopter ride through the skies of Lisbon is just the experience you need this Valentine’s Day.
On this adrenaline-filled trip, you’ll get to see some of Lisbon’s most emblematic sites from a different angle, such as the Champalimaud Foundation, the Belém Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery, Praça do Império or the Monument to the Discoveries.
Tuk tuk ride
Want to surprise your better half on Valentine’s Day? Treat her to a tuk tuk tour of one of Europe’s most romantic cities: Lisbon, of course!
Remember our Christmas lights tour? Well, Marlon and his Via Explorer will take you to discover the most passionate Lisbon ever.
There you have it. From tango dancing to an intimate live music experience and much more, there are plenty of original and romantic ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year.
