It’s not that our suggestions for plans to make your significant other fall even more in love aren’t romantic enough, but in our opinion, a dinner for two is always a classic that’s more than guaranteed. Who doesn’t like that?!
That’s why, and because this year’s offering is quite extensive and varied, gastronomically speaking, we went in search of those restaurants that are going to prepare this evening down to the last detail, so that you have an unforgettable experience.
Rossio Gastrobar

With a privileged view of Lisbon, Rossio Gastrobar has prepared a special “Off the Menu” menu to mark the most romantic time of the year, available on February 13, 14, and 15.
The experience includes starters with dashi, shiso, oysters, and caviar(20 euros). The main courses include shellfish rice, seaweed, and prawns ( 30 euros) and veal, beets, and quail eggs ( 34 euros).
To finish, dessert is an Instagram-worthy red fruit éclair ( 14 euros). However, the surprises don’t stop there, as there is a Love Cocktail, created with Valentine’s Day in mind, available for 16 euros.
The Garden Mr. Lisbon

Sr.Lisboa opens the doors of O Jardim for a special dinner on February 14. The menu includes different moments that resemble an intimate narrative, where each moment corresponds to a chapter in a love story.
Here, sea bass marks the beginning of the evening, but one of the most intense moments comes with the charcoal-grilled squid, accompanied by coriander rice and seaweed. However, meat has not been forgotten, as the menu features black pork cheek with rosemary , sweet potato purée , and spices.
Finally, the sweetest moment is reserved for the pear in port wine, served with hazelnut crumble and vanilla ice cream. The menu is only available on Valentine’s Day, at a price of 40 euros per person ( excluding drinks).
Timeless

If you’re looking for a restaurant with a sea view, Intemporal, in Paço de Arcos, is an option to consider. For Valentine’s Day, you can find the winter menu available for lunch, between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., and for dinner, from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

InterContinental Lisbon

To celebrate the most romantic day of the year, the InterContinental Lisbon offers a dinner that is a true declaration of love at the table. Under the motto “Life is better with love,” the menu includes fresh tuna toro and sautéed tiger prawns.
The highlight comes with the La Belle Rouge yellow corn chicken ballotine, and the dessert promises to leave everyone’s mouth watering: “Pump My Soul” combines lychee mousseline and white chocolate, almond biscuit, and strawberry and lychee jelly.

Boubou’s

If, instead of hotels , you are looking for a casual fine dining restaurant , there is a place to consider in Príncipe Real, Lisbon : Boubou’s, by Portuguese-French chef Louise Bourrat. To celebrate Valentine’s Day, there is an exclusive, themed menu.
The meal gets off to the best possible start with three special snacks: crab and geranium cigar , smoked chicken liver parfait, crispy chicken skin and corn cream and, of course, corn bread with chipotle and white sturgeon caviar.
This is followed by an irresistible selection of breads. Sweet potato ceviche with leche de tigre and kaffir lime and roast lamb shoulder with oriental condiments and thin bread are the highlights of the main course, which ends perfectly with a delicious dessert: black garlic, miso, buckwheat, and truffle ice cream.
Palácio Chiado

For those looking for a sophisticated atmosphere, Palácio Chiado is an excellent option for taking your significant other out to dinner on Valentine’s Day.
Chef André Pinto has prepared a special menu with five distinct courses. To start, charcoal-grilled oysters, followed by wagyu gunkan with foie gras mousse and truffle.
This is followed by the fish dish, a scallop orzotto. The meat dish chosen was oxtail terrine with carrot and orange purée. To finish in the best possible way, there are churros with cardamom sauce, followed by vanilla ice cream, pink pepper, and raspberry powder.
Capítulo Restaurant & Bar

Capítulo Restaurant & Baroffers a romantic four-course Valentine’s Day menu with wine pairing included, available for €170 per couple.
The gastronomic experience includes shrimp tartare on brioche bread, passion fruit mayonnaise, and chives, accompanied by a welcome cocktail.
The main courses include monkfish cooked in coconut milk and spices, cocoa tempura and mango sauce, followed by beijinho steak with blackberry and muscatel sauce.
The meal for two ends with a dessert to share: pavlova with exotic fruits and pansies.
Erva Restaurant

Romance can be synonymous with poetry. That’s why the motto “Verses of Love” inspired chef João Moreira to prepare a special menu for Valentine’s Day atthe Erva restaurant in Lisbon.
With the aim of combining poetry with a memorable gastronomic experience , in addition to good food, there is live music with vocals and violin that promise to accompany every bite and make this a unique evening.
The menu itself includes Arouquesa beef, smoked scallops, grouper, and black pork, not to mention a delicious chocolate, pink pepper, and sour cherry dessert, which ends the evening on a sweet and enveloping note.
