Arraiais in Lisbon’s neighborhoods (updating)
The Feast of Saint Anthony, or Lisbon’s Popular Saints, lasts the entire month of June. So here’s everything you need to know to have the best time in these Lisbon neighborhoods.
Santos em Santos
From May 29 to July 19, the Terrapleno de Santos once again hosts one of Lisbon’s liveliest festivals, with fun for young and old alike : Santos em Santos.
In addition to the usual food and drinks, this is one of Lisbon’s festivals where you can also have fun watching the national teams’ matches in the 2026 World Cup, as well as attending concerts featuring nationally renowned artists.

Grande Arraial de Belém
Best known as the Grande Arraial de Belém, this festival offers the best view of the Tagus River and is an ideal event for families.

Grande Arraial de Benfica
As is customary at any Saint Anthony’s Day festival in Lisbon, at the Grande Arraial de Benfica you’ll be swept up in an incredible festive atmosphere, where food, drink, and popular music take center stage— this year with an amazing lineup.

Arraial de São Miguel/Alfama
The dates have already been set for the famous Santos Populares dances in Alfama. Better known as Arraial de São Miguel, it is on these narrow streets in the Alfama neighborhood that some of the best moments of the Santo António festivities in Lisbon take place.

Arraial da Vila Berta
The famous Arraial da Vila Berta, in the Graça neighborhood, has been going on for over 10 years (it started as a neighborhood gathering to celebrate the village’s centennial) and this year it’s back with plenty of excitement, lots of food and drinks, and “the best Portuguese popular music.”
The night of Saint Anthony’s Day, on the 12th, will go on until the wee hours (at least until 4 a.m.) to the sound of the best festival music, but in the days leading up to it, there will be plenty of room for partying with other Portuguese bands and artists.

Grande Arraial Avenidas Novas (Campo Pequeno)
The Grande Arraial das Avenidas Novas is once again part of the city’s Popular Saints’ Festivals and will transform the gardens around Campo Pequeno into a true festival park filled with Portuguese music, where you’re sure to find delicious sardines with cornbread, among other traditional festival snacks.

Santos à Campolide
This year, “the big festival in downtown Lisbon,” as they call it in Campolide, will run until June 14, and promises to bring entertainment, music, dancing, sardines, and the same good cheer as always to Quinta do Zé Pinto.
As in previous years, Santos à Campolide will feature a stellar lineup of performers, including some of the best artists in Portuguese popular music, such as José Malhoa, Quim Barreiros, Non Stop, Ruth Marlene, Toy among many other surprises.

Praça da Alegria Festival
This is one of Lisbon’s most laid-back festivals. Every Friday, Saturday, and the eve of a holiday , you can count on live music and, of course, plenty of food—including delicious spit-roasted pork, grilled sardines, and drinks to keep the party going all night long.

Arraial de Alvalade
This year, Arraial de Alvalade has one of the most comprehensive lineups, featuring a very appealing musical lineup.
The program also includes activities for children, who can enjoy inflatable attractions.

Arraial da Misericórdia, in Bairro Alto
It is through the famous Arraial da Misericórdia that Bairro Alto celebrates the Popular Saints’ Festivals in Lisbon, with plenty of entertainment, live music, and an abundance of food and drink.

Arraial dos Navegantes
This year, Arraial dos Navegantes returns for four days for its 21st edition.
One of the highlights of Arraial dos Navegantes is the dedicated space for the little ones, the “Arraialito,” where volunteers organize fun activities for the children.
But there are many more surprises you’ll want to enjoy at this festival, held in one of the city’s most modern neighborhoods.

Santo Amaro Pilgrimage in Alcântara
From June 25 to 30, this Lisbon neighborhood will host the traditional Santo Amaro Pilgrimage, and as always, there will be plenty of entertainment near the Santo Amaro Chapel.
And best of all, admission is free, and the lineup is incredible!

“A Minha Penha é Linda” Festival
The Penha de França Parish Council will bring together the parish’s communities for a charity festival at the Sapadores Market on Rua da Penha de França , featuring Ruth Marlene, Tanya, Toy Cascão, Jorge Guerreiro, and Bloco Secretinho, among others.
From June 7 to 12, in addition to the traditional pork sandwiches and sardines, there will also be vegan options available at all food stalls.

Alternative Arraiais in Lisbon
It’s not just Lisbon’s neighborhoods that celebrate Saint Anthony in Lisbon. From rooftops to gardens, there are places in the city where you’d never have imagined it was possible to celebrate the capital’s biggest festivals.
Renovar a Mouraria Association Festival
Santo António in Mouraria has become a hallmark of Lisbon’s Popular Saints festivals, especially since this Lisbon neighborhood is known for its multicultural character, making it the most diverse and inclusive festival in the city, with a cultural lineup that’s also quite different from what you might expect to find at other festivals in the city.

Unicorn Festival in Beato
Lisbon has no shortage of festivals for all tastes, even within the category we call “alternative.” So, if you want to experience a festival in a tech ecosystem, that’s possible too.
On June 6, starting at 6 p.m., the Beato Innovation District opens its doors for its own festival, an event full of fun and, of course, networking.

EuroPride
As part of the Lisbon Festivals calendar, the capital is hosting EuroPride for the first time this year , from June 14 to 22.
The event features a packed schedule with many activities, such as concerts, talks, workshops, exhibitions, and LGBTI community parties.
One of the highlights is scheduled for June 21 with a march that will go from Saldanha to Praça do Comércio.

Santos at Doca da Marinha
The Popular Saints return to Doca da Marinha from June 4 to 21 for their 4th edition, with a more welcoming and safe setup , while maintaining the tradition and festive atmosphere along the Tagus River.
The event will have limited capacity, access control, enhanced security, and a varied musical lineup, as part of the project to revitalize Lisbon’s riverfront.

Popular Saints at Taberna do Bairro do Avillez
For three days, from June 10 to 12, Taberna do Bairro do Avillez in Chiado transforms into an authentic Lisbon festival.
With a special Popular Saints menu, you can enjoy pregos, bifanas, pastéis de nata, and three drinks of your choice, all accompanied by live music from the “Quinteto do Bairro.”
To secure your spot, advance reservations are required for the themed menu, available for €25 per person.

A creative take on sardines
During the month of the Popular Saints, Varanda de Lisboa and the Rooftop Bar at Hotel Mundial present exclusive creations by chef Celso Padeiro, a sort of reinterpretation of the traditional sardine in honor of Lisbon’s Festivals.
At Varanda de Lisboa, the standout starter is marinated sardines on brioche with textures of roasted peppers. At the Rooftop Bar, you can try a taco of grilled sardines with guacamole and cilantro sprouts.
Additionally, the Rooftop Bar hosts sunset events featuring signature cocktails and DJ sets for a vibrant atmosphere , every Friday from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Festa do Arromba
In Lisbon, it’s Saint Anthony who “reigns.” However, you can always take advantage of the month of June to experience a bit of the energy of São João with the “Festa do Arromba,” an initiative aimed at celebrating the festive spirit of the Northeast (in Brazil).
The program includes traditional food and hours of entertainment featuring forró music. The lineup includes various performances, such as Aline Araújo’s quartet, Carol Benigno’s trio, and a DJ set, among other attractions. Additionally, you’re encouraged to wear an outfit that fits the theme.
