There are events that we can put off until later, but there are others in which our participation is also a civic duty, and the Arraial Lisboa Pride is one of those cases.
Since 1997, Arraial Lisboa Pride has brought visibility to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and intersex population, having mobilized thousands and thousands of people for this cause.
And the festival organized in Lisbon is one of the most popular, having grown year on year: two years ago it welcomed around 60,000 people, and last year around 100,000 people of all genders passed through the Lisboa Pride festival.
When, where and why?
On June 22, between 4 p.m. and 2 a.m., Terreiro do Paço will be transformed into a place we all wish could always exist: a place where everyone is truly welcome, at the 26th edition of Arraial Pride.
It’s going to be 10 hours that will surely be filled with a lot of love, a lot of joy and a lot of music. After all, dance is, and always will be, a beautiful form of celebration.
Terreiro do Paço becomes our big dance floor.
After the thousands of people who colored the city center in past years, even more are expected to show up this year.
The cause alone is reason enough to show up, but if you still need more reasons to show up, bookmark this article because we’ ll have news soon.
This event is organized by ILGA Portugal, Lisbon City Council, EGEAC, and the Misericórdia and Santa Maria Maior parish councils, and is an integral part of the programming of the Lisbon Festivities.
A admission is, of course, completely free and you can eat and drink on the premises so that you can get to the end of this incredible party in perfect shape.
Address: Terreiro do Paço (Downtown)
