Despite the drizzle of the last few days, the temperature is still very mild, which got us thinking about where we could enjoy the last rays of sunshine and warmth before the gray days arrive: these outdoor spaces in Alcântara, at the LX Factory, could well be the ideal destination, especially as they still offer Portuguese snacks, cocktails and lots of entertainment.
Although our (and your) calendar announces that summer is over, the temperatures in Lisbon indicate precisely the opposite: once again, Lisbon’s autumn invites outdoor plans, and it was in one of the city’s most multicultural centers that we found some of these incredible spots, with some of the best terraces in town.
Terraces at LX Factory
One of the best ways to enjoy the LX Factory is to relax on one of its terraces, without rushing and with all the calm in the world.
Best of all, each one has something delicious for you to try, from snacks to exotic drinks.
So, if you’re looking for national flavors, one of the must-stops is the recently opened Pátio , which focuses its cuisine on “tugas” snacks, from the classic Caldo Verde to the freshness of national oysters.

If your appetite is for something more international, the options are even wider. On Selllva’s terrace you can take a trip through tropical Asia and try various cocktails as well as delicious bowls; and next door you have Matchamama, which is just one of LX Factory’s best-kept secrets. In our last experience there we loved everything we tried, as well as the lush, leafy terrace, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the city.

One of the most recent attractions in this cultural “quarter” is the Beers Factory, which also stands out for its Portuguese flavors, such as Chouriça Assada or Bacalhau à Lagareiro, as well as its beer Happy Hours.
Turning to international cuisine, we’d like to highlight the Latin American food at Ni Michi restaurant, which specializes in the Mexican dishes we love so much.

If you’re looking for a quicker but equally tasty snack, this pizzeria has to be on your route. As well as the famous cheese-filled triangles, it also has a bar with refreshing drinks for these mild days.
But there’s food for all tastes at the LX factory, and at The Therapist you can also find plant-based delicacies that are sure to leave you feeling very satisfied and satiated.

Finally, we’d like to highlight the more classic ones, which have been at LX Factory for longer: Cantina, where homemade “comfort” food and the wood-fired oven are the protagonists, as well as the more rustic atmosphere of an old factory; then there’s Praça, which specializes in Portuguese and Italian fusion dishes (pasta, petiscos), in a more modernist atmosphere; and Central Avenida, if you like tapas and wine, with a special focus on petiscos, cheeses and sausages, great for “poking” between two fingers of conversation on the terrace on the main street.

As you can see, there are plenty of excuses to visit this cultural center, which is also very gastronomic . These sunnier days invite you to take a trip of this kind, but don’t stop at the tables because there are plenty of stores, art and workshops to discover at LX Factory.
Oh, and don’t forget to visit the famous and artistic bathrooms in this little neighborhood.
