Browers Beato is the brand’s first brewery in the country, and brings to Lisbon one of the largest counters we’ve ever seen, measuring around 30 meters, where there’s plenty of room for the various snacks on the menu and for the wide variety of the house’s 15 craft beers , and another seven from national and international brands.
It opened on St. Martin’s Day and will be the new meeting point for fans of craft beer and good snacks.
Beato Innovation District increasingly appealing
The Beato neighborhood is growing by leaps and bounds and this Beato Innovation District has more and more reasons for you to visit it.
After having brunch at A Praça, which is delicious and unlike anything we’ve ever experienced in the center of Lisbon, this will be another brewery for our collection.
With the promise of attracting both the local community and visitors to this part of the city to take part in numerous craft beer festivals, Browers Beato stands out for being the fusion between a factory, a bar, a restaurant and yet another place in Lisbon where you’re sure to be able to attend many events.
30-meter counter
Housed in the building of the former Lisbon Military Maintenance Power Station, Browers Beato stands out for several reasons, one of the main ones being its impressive 30-meter-long bar, the largest in the country.
It can seat up to 40 people on high stools and is undoubtedly the nerve center of the bar, where you can choose from 15 varieties of draught beer, seven of which are produced locally in the microbrewery installed in this space, including Beato Lager and other limited editions that vary throughout the year.
The “blondies” menu also includes seven other options from national and international brands, offering a diversity of styles such as IPAs, Lagers and Stouts.
Much more than beer
In addition to the always cold beers, Browers Beato also innovates in the restaurant’s menu, which is the responsibility of Chef Luís Gaspar.
The snacks you’ll find here are inspired by regional Portuguese cuisine, with gastronomic options ranging from Gamba da costa, Pica-pau, Cachorrinho do Beato, Bacalhau à Brás and the iconic Francesinha, designed to harmonize perfectly with the beers you can consume in this huge factory.
And there’s room for all your friends, as Browers Beato has 700m2 and the capacity to hold 250 beer-loving souls, 166 inside and 84 on the no less giant terrace.
Drinks and food are taken care of… the entertainment is missing . Browers Beato will have a very active cultural program, with concerts and workshops related to the world of beer, promising to be the biggest reference for this drink in Lisbon.
Finally, it should be noted that this project was designed and refurbished by renowned architects Eduardo Souto de Moura and Nuno Graça Moura, who preserved the original elements of the historic building, such as the façades and windows, while maintaining the industrial atmosphere that characterizes this area of Beato.
