Lisbon doesn’t slow down when it comes to good food. If 2025 was the year of audacious openings and a return to the origins, 2026 promises to consolidate these places as must-sees.
Between irreverent sushi bars, pastry shops that are works of art and the comfort of fire cooking, we’ ve selected the places where we’ve been happy and where you’re sure to find us at the table in the coming months.
And that’s not even counting the experiences we’ve had at the best smash burgers in town, which in 2025 completely destroyed the gastronomic scene.
If you’ve missed out on any of these places, now’s your chance to visit them, because Lisbon will continue to make waves in this sector that we love so much.

Bistro 100 Maneiras

Chef Ljubomir Stanisic needs no introduction, and his Bistro continues to be the epicenter of irreverence. It’s a place where elegance and “Rock n’ Roll” cohabit, serving dishes that defy the norm in an atmosphere that is possibly one of the most cosmopolitan in the city.
Address: Largo da Trindade 9 (Chiado)
Our experience: seasonal ingredients in a highly creative cuisine, and an atmosphere that is always festive and without “weirdness”
Timeless

Moving away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, Chef Miguel Laffan chose Paço de Arcos to set up his Intemporal. With a breathtaking view over the Tagus, this space is the perfect synthesis of the Chef’s career: high school technique (which has earned him Michelin stars), applied to a menu that favors the sea and seasonality. It’s the destination of choice for those looking for relaxed luxury and signature cuisine that doesn’t forget its roots.
Address: Rua Vista Alegre (Paço de Arcos)
Our experience: if there are dishes that tell stories, this tasting menu tells a life
Mimi curated by Yakuza
Olivier da Costa raises the bar once again with Mimi. Here, the concept brought from the Yakuza takes on a more intimate and “curated” aura. It’s elite sushi in a sophisticated setting, perfect for those who value exclusivity and the extreme freshness of the fish.
Address: Rua Rodrigues Sampaio 94
Our experience: we haven’t been to all of them yet, but this is already on our list of favorite omakases in the city
The Butcher
Kiko Martins continues to show that O Tal ho is much more than a place to buy meat. It’s a restaurant where animal protein is explored in all its forms, from tartar to matured cuts, always with a creative twist.
Address: Rua Carlos Testa 1B (São Sebastião)
Our experience: we haven’t been anywhere where the meat has been so deliciously “well-treated”
BLADE

In Cais do Sodré, BLADE breaks all the rules of conventional dining. Here there are no long menus or indecisions: the concept focuses on the absolute perfection of a single dish, the BLADE steak, executed with technical mastery and exceptional ingredients. It’s the ideal destination for those looking for a radically focused experience, where quality takes precedence over variety in a modern, unpretentious atmosphere.
Address: Praça D. Luís I (Cais do Sodré)
Our experience: the steak at this restaurant is very tender, comes with delicious side dishes and the price (for the area) is very competitive
A Parreirinha do Chile
A classic is a classic. Far from the tourist spotlight, Parreirinha do Chile continues to serve one of the best traditional bifanas in town. It’s proof that authenticity and homemade seasoning never go out of fashion.
Address: Praça do Chile 14A (Arroios)
Our experience: some say it has one of the best sauces in Lisbon’s bifanas, and who are we to disagree?
Luka Lisboa
Our visit to Luka Lisboa was an authentic journey into Thai flavors. We know we’ve said this before, not least because the city has more and more gastronomic offerings from these latitudes, but at Luka we tasted a menu that you’ll only find on the Thai streets, in the typical street food stalls.
Address: Rua Luciano Cordeiro 89
Our experience: it was at this restaurant that we tried one of the best croquettes in the city, in a Peking Duck version, but in crispy meat rolls
Rubro Avenida
Paradise for lovers of meat and tapas with an Iberian accent is at Rubro, on Avenida da Liberdade, one of the safest choices for a business lunch or a relaxed dinner focused on the grill and a respectable wine cellar.
Address: Rua Rodrigues Sampaio 33-35 (Avenida da Liberdade)
Our experience: for those who are crazy about tapas (like us), this beautiful space is perfect; and it has grilled meats that are a treat
BomBom Pâtisserie
More than a pastry shop, BomBom is a laboratory of fine confectionery. It has brought the precision of French pastry to Lisbon with a modern twist. Each cake is visually stunning and technically perfect. And yes, it also serves incredible “healthy” lunches.
Address: Rua Professor Sousa da Câmara 128 Loja E (Amoreiras)
Our experience: we loved the space and every sweet that came out of that counter, which is a veritable sin of sweet treats
Let’s Pastrami

Finally, New York pastrami has a worthy ambassador in Lisbon, Let’s Pastrami. Generous sandwiches, perfectly cured meat and that deli atmosphere that transports you straight to Manhattan without leaving the capital.
Address: Rua Poiais de São Bento 20 (Calçada do Combro)
Our experience: we tried the best-known sandwiches and left wanting more
Taza
We can’t say that Taza ‘ s sandwiches are the best Lebanese sandwiches in Lisbon because we haven’t tried all of them yet, but the offer at the small and friendly Lebanese restaurant Taza is delicious, that’s for sure!
Address: Rua Moeda 2A R/C Esq. (Cais do Sodré)
Our experience: sandwiches with ingredients that are always fresh and freshly prepared, for a more refreshing experience
550º

Temperature isn’t just a name, it’s a philosophy that the 550º restaurant has elevated, focusing on mouth-watering dishes such as the incredible oven rice with tiger prawns that we tasted, among other delicious dishes, all of which pass through the intense heat of the wood-fired oven. This is the place where comfort meets craftsmanship.
Address: Travessa da Fábrica dos Pentes 12
Our experience: the space is large but comfortable, and the menu is huge and full of flavors from the sea and the land
YAM

YAM is an Asian restaurant and bar in the Cascais Marina that invites you on a true journey through Southeast Asia, without leaving the Line. In a modern space with a terrace facing the boats, it combines dishes designed for sharing, such as pad thai, baos and gyosas, with a creative menu of Asian-inspired cocktails.
Address: Marina de Cascais (Cascais)
Our experience: relaxed, light and uncomplicated Asian food, very tasty and with a dream view
MÖTAO Lisbon

At MÖTAO, Asian fusion meets the glamor of Lisbon’s lifestyle, where you can enjoy an experience that goes beyond the food; it’s a “dining show“ where the exotic decor and signature cocktails set the scene for a night that starts at the table and ends on the dance floor.
Address: Pavilhão Nascente da Avenida Brasília 311A (Alcântara)
Our experience: if you like Asian cuisine and an incredible view of the Tagus (with an after-dinner party), this is the place for you
What to expect in 2026?

Choosing the “best” restaurants is, by definition, a subjective exercise, but the 14 addresses we’ve gathered here share a common denominator: truth on the plate.
Whether it’s Miguel Laffan’s technical rigor in Paço de Arcos, BLADE’s daring one-dish meal in Cais do Sodré or the comforting simplicity of Chile’s Parreirinha in 2025, Lisbon has proven that it doesn’t need to choose between tradition and innovation: it thrives on the balance between the two.
Looking ahead to 2026, the trend is clear: the public is increasingly looking for experiences with an identity. It’s no longer enough just to “eat well”; we’re looking for the producer’s story, the chef’s vision and spaces that have a soul , whether they’re street food spaces or a more irreverent bistro.
This guide is an invitation to get out of your gastronomic comfort zone. Lisbon is designed to be discovered bite by bite, and the best time to start (or continue) that journey is now.
