BomBom Pâtisserie was born out of the passion of two French pastry lovers and offers a unique experience, celebrating its traditions in a very special – and hidden – place in Lisbon, near Amoreiras.
Founded by Portuguese descendants Sandra Castro and Pedro Oliveira, the pastry shop combines tradition and modernity, offering a sophisticated gastronomic experience in a large space with a very welcoming atmosphere.
An offer for every moment of the day…
Whether it’s for a special breakfast, a memorable snack or simply to enjoy the art of French confectionery, BomBom Pâtisserie is already one of our must-stops in the city, even though it’s far from the city center, a condition that the owners appreciate, as they want to bring the neighborhoods back to life, as is already the case in Paris.
Under the leadership of Chef Juliette Bayen, BomBom Pâtisserie offers an irresistible selection of delicacies, including the signature specialties, various tarts, delicate choux pastries, cakes and cookies, the already famous croissants (2€), filled or plain, available from 9am, chocolate breads (€2.20), and savory options such as quiches (€5.50), the classic Croque Monsieur (€9.50), Le Parisien baguette sandwiches (€6.50) and tartines.
From 12 noon to 3pm, customers can choose the dish of the day for lunch or take the options available in takeaway. On Saturdays, brunch is the highlight of the house.
To accompany these delights, the menu has a variety of hot drinks, natural juices and even alcoholic options such as wines and ciders. In addition, a special breakfast menu is served from 8am to 11am.
The Secret Lisbon experience
Ever since it opened at the end of 2024, we had been eager to try the most incredible pastries we had seen, until then only in the photos on BomBom Pâtisserie’s Instagram page. So we grabbed an Uber and off we went to LX Living, one of the capital’s newest buildings, just outside the Amoreiras Shopping Center.
We were warmly welcomed by the owners Sandra and Pedro, who joined us for the meal. We began by sampling some of the drinks on the menu, including the Detox and Bio juices (€3.50 to €3.95), as well as other more alcoholic options such as wines (€5 to €18 ) (reds, whites and rosés) or Moët et Chandon champagne (on request).
At the same time, a series of suggestions arrived at the table: an Avocado & Salmon Tartine with Egg (€12), which served to whet the appetite; an Italian Tartine (€12), which featured a huge burrata with pesto sauce and cherry tomatoes, “lying” on a slice of sourdough bread; and a brioche bread toast which isn’t even on the new menu yet: it takes salmon, chopped red onion, chives and kimchi, which the owner loves (and so do we), which turned out to be a real delicacy and which we’re sure will be a sales success.
And speaking of bestsellers, we’ve reached the sweets section, where we’d like to highlight the wonderful – and delicious – Choux with various flavors (3€). We tried almost all of them and suggest you try the Chocolate Tanka and the Paris-Grest Noisette.
We also had a bite of the famous signature desserts: Yuzu Lemon Tart, with Portuguese lemon cream and yuzu meringue; and Tarte Expresso, chocolate with coffee, which you can buy in cake format, to share or take home, and in a smaller size (tartelette), with the flavors Lemon & Yuzu, Raspberry & Pistachio and Chocolate & Nut Pecan, ideal for eating on the spot.
Services for special occasions
For themed occasions such as Christmas, Three Kings or Valentine’s Day, BomBom Pâtisserie offers exclusive creations.
From Christmas Trunks (from €42), ideal for six to eight people, to cakes of the most diverse flavors and shapes, there is always a delicious surprise to present at these special moments.
For special events, the store also offers a personalized catering service.
In addition to handmade pastries, BomBom Pâtisserie also offers a gourmet grocery store with premium French products such as chocolates and teas.
Partner brands include well-known names such as Le Chocolat des Français, Alain Milliat, The Millstone Sourdough and The Royal Rawness.
There’s no doubt that it was well worth visiting this French patisserie in Lisbon, which is much simpler than its name might suggest: at BomBom Pâtisserie you can order a tartine, a baguette or a pain au chocolat as well as a galon or a mixed toast, and that alone says almost everything about this delicious proposal of where to eat well in the city.
