And when we say we’ ve tasted all the new snacks, we’re not talking about the usual pub grub you can get in any tavern: the new “Bistro in a bite” menu is based on some of the most iconic dishes of the Bosnian chef who has adopted our country to delight us with his food… and what a good one it is!
Best of all, you can try the best classics without emptying your wallet or having to commit to a formal dinner. But let’s break it down!
“Bistro in a bite”
That’s exactly what you’re thinking: it’ s delicious food that you can eat in one bite or spoonful, in a new concept that aims to bring more people to Bistro 100 Maneiras, without formalities of any kind. The new menu offers more flavor, for less money and even less “ceremony”.
The gastronomic idea, based on the three pillars of Bites, Beats and Bar, offers “picanços”, mini-cocktails and DJ sets, and aims to get more people to try the best there is to taste at the best-known bistro in Largo da Trindade, in Chiado.
We can even say that the kitchen at Bistro 100 Maneiras, led by Ljubomir Stanisic, Executive Chef Manuel Maldonado and Head Chef Eugeniu Musteata , has entered a new phase, more flexible and accessible to everyone.
We went to the presentation of the new “Bistro in one bite” menu and we’re going to tell you everything we tasted there, starting with the reception with music at the entrance, passing through the innovative mini-cocktails and ending with the most delicious desserts that have passed through the “narrow” in recent times. Shall we?
DJ sets to whet your appetite
As soon as we entered, music, a DJ set on the sofa that invites us to have a first drink at the bar.
Once a month, on Fridays, many of the restaurant’s familiar faces (and the Chef knows a lot of people) take over the musical atmosphere.
The first was Henriq (ZB), followed by Switchdance on December 5th.
The mini-cocktails
Opinions are unanimous: there’s a new, younger crowd that doesn’t drink that much in the evenings. With this in mind, Bistro 100 Maneiras has introduced mini-cocktails which, although small, are powerful and much appreciated. We tried all six and they were all incredible, satisfying our curiosity to drink more than just one.
This “small” introduction to the cocktail menu also marks the return of Jorge Camilo to the helm of the bars of the group responsible for 100 maneiras, which since the spring of 2025 has reinvigorated the entire drinks menu.
One of the results of this overhaul are the new six mini-cocktails, which allow for innovative liquid tasting. You can try them:
- 3 classics:
- Margarita, Negroni and Daiquiri
- 3 signature cocktails:
- Red Hot Guava, Rhubarb and Pear
You can order each of these mini-cocktails for €7.50, or a tasting of three to choose from, for €19.50. The “Back to the Future” cards and the Bistro’s cocktail classics are still available.
The “picanços”
Our favorite part has arrived: tasting the new Bites from Bistro 100 Maneiras, which are nothing more than small “bites” of some of Chef Ljubomir’s best-known and classic recipes, affectionately nicknamed “picanços” by him.
The great thing about these little bites of pleasure is that they will allow you to taste a wider range of flavors in just one visit, but we’re sure that once you’ve tasted them , you’ll want to come back, perhaps for a bigger dose.
Another feature of these snacks is their very affordable price, which can range from €3 for the Croquetes de Cecina to €10 for the Rossini do Lombo with Demi Trufada.
This menu thus ends up being a compendium of what the Bistro does best, mixing classics, novelties and tradition.
Among the Classics, we highlight favorites such as Potato “Peelings” with Truffle Sauce (€4), Organic Beetroot Tartare with Basil, Wasabi and Walnuts (€4.50) or Kale Burek with Yogurt Sauce (€4).

We also added the Mushroom and Asparagus Salad with Béarnaise Foam (€4.50), the Octopus with Spicy Honey and Spices and Sweet Potato Puree (€9) and the Bonito, Shisô and Mustard Caviar (€6).
We also have to highlight a “picanço” that left us incredulous because it was simply and deliciously incredible: the Squid Katso with Tonkatsu, Cogollo and Mustard Caviar (10€). We’re sure it’ s going to be a big seller.

We ended with our mouths sweeter than ever, with the best known and most appreciated Cheese Foam with Guava Sorbet (€5) and the classic Diogo Vaz Organic Chocolate Mousse from Roça (€5) .
But we also tried the lightly grilled Pineapple from the Azores and Elderflower (5€) and the Merengada Lemon Tart (4€).

According to the Chef, you can find a new “picanço” every day, depending on what’s available at the local market; but if you prefer, you can try all the pitéus on the menu or opt for the “Às Cegas” menu where, for €35, you’ll be entitled to eight moments chosen by the Chef (duly adapted to your tastes and intolerances), which makes the cuisine at Bistro 100 Maneiras one of the most creative in Lisbon.
Our experience at Bistro 100 Maneiras was highly enjoyable, and we were even happier to realize that this menu format also has an environmental concern behind it, as it allows the entire kitchen team to rotate seasonal ingredients with as little waste as possible.
One last line to point out that this menu will only be served in the restaurant’s downstairs room, leaving the upper floor to serve the usual menu and the special weekend lunch menus: “Return to Portugal” (Saturday) and “Return to Bosnia” (Sunday).
