Summer festivals in Portugal have already kicked off in force, haven’t they? Welcoming the warmer season is synonymous with diving into beaches, swimming pools and getaways, but also with experiencing the best music up close. From the north to the south of Portugal, there’s no shortage of musical events to suit all tastes.
From the classics of Paredes de Coura and Vilar de Mouros to giants such as NOS Alive, there are plenty of festivals to enjoy. CA Vilar de Mouros
Back in the north of Portugal, more precisely in Minho, CA Vilar de Mouros returns with a lot of rock (and more).
Considered one of the oldest summer festivals on the Iberian Peninsula, Da Weasel are the first official confirmation.
However, the full line-up has not yet been released, and we can expect some big national and international names.

F Festival
Considered the “last great summer festival in Portigal”, Festival F celebrates Portuguese music right in the heart of the Algarve’s main city,Faro.
The 10th edition will take place between September 4 and 7, over four days dedicated to Lusophone music, culture and creativity.
The event will occupy “Vila Adentro”, spreading over nine stages, where artists from various genres will perform, from Pop to Fado, Hip Hop, Rock, Electronic and traditional music, with some of the best known national artists: Diogo Piçarra, Os Quatro e Meia, Bárbara bandeira, Sara Correia, Ana Moura, Bispo, Pedro Abrunhosa and Dino D’Santiago, among many others.

MEO KALORAMA
MEO KALORAMA kicked off the summer festival season in Lisbon. In its 4th edition, the line-up brought to the capital big names such as Pet Shop Boys, FKA Twigs, Jorja Smith, Sevdaliza and various national talents.
With three days of Music, Art and Sustainability in Parque da Bela Vista, this edition promised to surpass the previous ones.

Evil Live Festival
Evil Live 2025 deserves the attention of fans of summer festivals in Portugal, particularly those who love “heavy music”. This event brings “giants” such as Judas Priest, Korn, Spliknot and Opeth, among others, to the Restelo Stadium.
As well as the presence of big international names, the line-up also features several national bands such as R.A.M.P., Bizarra Locomotiva and Gaerea. An opportunity to experience the best of metal in a soccer stadium.

NOS Alive
In the list of summer festivals in Portugal, it’s practically obligatory to mention the 17th edition of NOS Alive, at Passeio Marítimo de Algés between July 10 and 12.
The festival features a line-up with big names such as Olivia Rodrigo, Kings of Leon, Nine Inch Nails, Justice, Girl in Red, Sam Fender and Anyma, among others. Known for hosting legendary concerts on the European circuit, NOS Alive once again promises a diverse program on various stages.

MEO Marés Vivas
Returning to the north of Portugal, it’s also worth mentioning MEO Marés Vivas. This festival is held annually in Vila Nova de Gaia, next to the Douro River, combining the best of music with stunning scenery overlooking Porto.
This year, the festival presents a diverse line-up, with the aim of attracting audiences of all ages, including the living rock legends Scorpions, the Portuguese Xutos & Pontapés, the phenomenon Pedro Sampaio and the Latin star Ozuna, among others.

Vodafone Paredes de Coura
In August, it’ s time to head to Minho. After all, this is where one of Portugal’s oldest summer festivals takes place.
Celebrating its 32nd anniversary, Paredes de Coura presents a line-up that mixes well-known artists with others on the rise.
Vampire Weekend, Air, Franz Ferdinand, Lola Young, Portugal.The Man and King Krule are some of the headliners for the 2025 edition.

The Caparica Sun
From August 14 to 17, the Costa da Caparica Urban Park will be transformed into a stage for the celebration of Lusophony with the 10th edition of the O Sol da Caparica Festival. The line-up includes names such as Plutonio, Richie Campbell, Da Weasel, Nininho Vaz Maia and Wet Bed Gang, who promise to entertain the audience.
