If sand and crowds aren’t your thing, there’ s nothing better than one of these pools in Lisbon, lying on a sun lounger and, by the way, sipping a good, fresh cocktail.
There are plenty of suggestions in Greater Lisbon, but we’ve made a selection for you, with a series of pools in and around the city.
Freshwater or saltwater, in the heart of the capital or in Sintra or Cascais, you just have to choose and… dive in.

Arriba Guincho
In an authentic refuge between the sea and the mountains, Arriba Guincho has one of our favorite ocean pools, surrounded by a natural solarium and – best of all – protected from the strong wind of the beach, which is right next door.
What’s more, you don’t even need to bring lunch or a snack: you’ll really want to take advantage of the spectacular terrace, which offers a menu dedicated to the hottest season of the year, with light, practical and refreshing options.
Address: Edifício Arriba, Estrada do Guincho

Oeiras Ocean Pool
Next to the marina, with the sea right next to it, this is one of the most popular pools in Greater Lisbon.
It has an area for children and a VIP area, as well as sun loungers that will keep you relaxed for many hours. It also has a modern and very comfortable bar.
In the low season, until the end of June and in September, the pool is open between 10am and 7pm, while in July and August it is open from 9.30am to 8pm.
Address: Passeio Marítimo de Oeiras

Reverse Pool & Beach (former Tamariz pool)
It’s no coincidence that it’s called “the coolest lounge beach on the Line”. This space in the heart of Tamariz Beach, in Estoril , promises “glamor and privacy with one foot in the sand”.
Here, you can even rent a bed right in front of the pool and have a cocktail or snack brought to you. If you prefer a more composed meal, there’ s also a restaurant on offer.
Address: Rua Olivença (Tamariz, Estoril)
