Colombo Center
The largest shopping center in Lisbon, and one of the largest shopping complexes on the Iberian Peninsula, it is a reference point for commerce in the capital.
It has a wide range of options including more than 300 stores, 60 restaurants, nine cinemas (one of them IMAX), and a health and fitness club. In other words, almost everything you need to spend a whole day here.
Address: Avenida Lusíada
Opening hours: every day from 8am to midnight
Amoreiras Shopping Center
With more than 100 stores, Amoreiras is one of the city’s leading shopping centers, ideal if you’re looking for a different shopping experience.
Located in a central area of the capital, this shopping center is the choice of many Lisbon residents during the Christmas season, when one of the city’s most fantastic and iconic Christmas trees is set up.
And in one of the towers, accessed through the shopping center, you can also find one of the city’s main viewpoints, with a unique 360º view over Lisbon.
Address: Avenida Duarte Pacheco

Armazéns do Chiado
Also iconic and located in the city’s historic center is Armazéns do Chiado , which has more than 50 stores, several restaurants and cafés, and a breathtaking view of São Jorge Castle.
This space is closely linked to Lisbon’s more recent past, more precisely to the 1988 fire that almost completely destroyed the old Grandes Armazéns do Chiado, one of the greatest classics of 20th century Lisbon commerce.
I’m in perfect harmony with all the shops in the downtown area, especially those on Rua Garrett and Rua do Carmo.
Address: Rua do Carmo 2
Opening hours: every day from 10am to 11pm
Vasco da Gama Center
One of the most modern and up-to-date shopping centers in Lisbon, Vasco da Gama, is located in Parque das Nações. It was “born” after Expo’98: what you now see as a commercial space was the entrance to the great world exhibition, remember?
It mainly serves those who live in the eastern part of the city, but as it is served by a good transport network, the Oriente station, any Lisbon resident can get here in no time.
It has more than 160 stores, around 2,600 parking spaces, six cinemas and a gym, and you can find practically every service nearby.
Address: Avenida D. João II 40
Opening hours: every day from 10am to midnight
Campo Pequeno Shopping Center
In Campo Pequeno there is a shopping center and an arena that hosts various types of shows, now called Sagres Campo Pequeno.
Within the shopping area you’ll find 60 stores, 20 restaurants, eight cinemas and a supermarket.
It is served by a good transport network, including the metro, with a direct exit to the shopping area, as well as a large subway parking lot with capacity for 1,250 cars.
Address: Campo Pequeno Leisure Center
Opening hours: every day, most stores open at 10am and close at 10pm-23pm
El Corte Inglés
Different in layout from what we’re used to in Portugal, the Spanish shopping center has an open warehouse format, where all the stores and businesses are “mixed” between 13 floors.
But that’s not why it’s less appreciated by locals, who come here to shop in the 200 or so departments ranging from fashion to gastronomy, home and decoration, with national and international brands and products.
Address: Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar 31
Opening hours: every day, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
UBBO Shopping Resort
Ten years after it opened, one of the country’s largest shopping centers has changed its concept and name: it is no longer called Dolce Vita Tejo and in 2019 it was renamed Shopping Resort UBBO, transforming everything we knew about a shopping center, since this new UBBO is all that and more, it is a true entertainment center for everyone.
Located in Amadora and winner of numerous awards, distinctions and certifications, Shopping Resort UBBO has more than 280 stores spread over two floors and more than 127,000m2.
It’s also where you’ll find Europe’s largest covered square, a huge space that recreates the outdoors, with a 130m2 screen suspended in the middle of the garden, and where there are regular events and activities for the little ones, but also for the grown-ups.
As well as a number of leading brands and stores, you’ll find Kidzania, the only one of its kind in Portugal, an Auchan hypermarket, the El Corte Inglès Outlet, a Holmes Place gym and 11 UCI cinemas. All this with the convenience of 9,000 free covered parking spaces.
