Arts and Sports Park
Covering nine hectares, the Parque das Artes e do Desporto, in Amadora, is a suitable place for kids and adults alike.
In addition to the green surroundings, you’ll find various facilities, such as: three multi-sports courts; two tennis courts; two padel courts; a disc golf course; a walking circuit; a sculpture circuit; children’s play equipment; and inclusive equipment.
A great place to exercise outdoors, or simply relax a little from the stress of everyday life.

Comic Park – Monica’s Gang
Do you like Monica and Cebolinha’s stories? Or is that too old school for you? Either way, it’s worth taking the kids back home to Parque da BD – Turma da Mónica. In fact, this really is one of the most interesting places to take the kids to play near Lisbon.
This space was created in 2013 on the site of the former Fábrica da Cultura, where the Amadora International Comics Festival was held. It currently pays homage to Maurício de Sousa, author of the famous Brazilian comic “Turma da Mónica”.

Roque Gameiro House
In addition to the aforementioned themed places, Amadora is also a cultural municipality. At this level, Casa Roque Gameiro stands out.
The building was commissioned at the end of the 19th century, but today it stands out as a cultural, educational and leisure space.
Casa Roque Gameiro has been classified by the Institute for the Management of Architectural and Archaeological Heritage as a monument of public interest. Another important aspect is the frequent holding of exhibitions and various activities.

UBBO (shopping center)
The municipality of Amadora has one of the most peculiar shopping centers in the country, but in a good way. In addition to its distinctive architectural features, Shopping Resort UBBO stands out for its multifaceted character.
It’s a shopping destination, but it’s also a place for leisure and entertainment, with various spaces for children and adults.
Amadora Museum
Created in 1999, the Museu Municipal de Arqueologia da Amadora aims to study and preserve the archaeological heritage of the municipality of Amadora.
Over the years, this museum has focused mainly on carrying out archaeological work.

Mills
Amadora has several windmills, which give the municipality a picturesque feel. Among the various infrastructures, you can find the following:
