Until the end of 2024, you’ll have to visit some of these exhibitions in Lisbon. The city is once again hosting some of the most fantastic art exhibitions, and we’ll be here to tell you all about it.
The city already has a number of exhibitions planned for this year, many of them taking place in the the city’s main museums, such as the National Museum of Ancient Art or the Calouste Gulbenkian Museum.
Most of the exhibitions in Lisbon that we are going to present to you are temporary, contemporary art exhibitions and tell various stories.
Others, like the ones you can find at Fado Museum and Tile Museum, are permanent and offer a unique insight into the culture and even the history of the city.
We’ll also take you to the main art galleries and independent exhibition spaces that usually invite local and international artists to exhibit their work.

Dalí Cybernetics Lisbon
We are sure that a exhibition that will be the talk of the town the next is the one that highlights one of the greatest artists of the 20th century, the true master of surrealism, Salvador Dalí.
The immersive exhibition “Dalí: Cybernetics” is one of the most futuristic exhibitions Lisbon has ever had in the city, with 360º projections, interactive areas and virtual reality glasses that will take you on a journey to Dalí’s parallel universes.

Root Exhibition & Utopia
The collection of the magazine Raiz & Utopia, which belongs to the CNC, is being organized and processed, and it is in this context that some materials from dating from 1977 to 1981 will be exhibited.

ARYZ exhibits in Lisbon
The renowned Spanish artist will have a unprecedented installation in the National Pantheon. Inspired by the tradition of Vanitas paintings from the 16th and 17th centuries, originally from the Netherlands, this work deals with themes such as life and death.

The Beauty is a Choice” exhibition
In Estrela Basilica “The Beauty is a Choise” by Ukrainian artist Veronika Blyzniuchenko ison display.
You’ll be able to see and admire 60 of his works in the cloisters and gardens of this beautiful church, which were previously closed to the public.

Underdogs group exhibition “Between Two Waters”
The new group exhibition features new works by Blac Dwelle, Blackson Afonso, Jorge Charrua, Raquel Belli, Tamara Alves, Tiago Hesp and Vasco Maio .
This exhibition explores the role of art as a catalyst for questioning in an increasingly inflexible world.

Lisbon model at Palácio Pimenta
For 26 years, firefighter Luís Caetano Pereira de Carvalho built a miniature version of our beloved city of Lisbon.
The result of this project, which brings the whole city into focus, is one of the most recent exhibitions in Lisbon and has been available to visit since February 23 at the Lisbon Museum – Palácio Pimenta, in Campo Grande.

ONE, The sea as you’ve never felt it
Of the exhibitions in Lisbon, this installation is one of the most profound exhibitions in Lisbon and will lead you to enjoy a moment of intense relaxation, introspection and harmony.
At least that was the intention of the artist Maya de Almeida Araújo when she dived into the depths of the immense blue of our Atlantic Ocean.
It took eight months of filming and now you can admire in the lobby of the Lisbon Oceanarium. If you like the sea, this exhibition is for you.

Remembering the Vasco da Gama Aquarium
O Vasco da Gama Aquarium is not only an aquarium, but also a museum that originated from a prince’s dream and his ambition to learn more about the depths of the ocean.
Here the proposal is that you “dive” into one of the oldest aquarium-museums in the world, to discover a historical heritage with a private oceanographic collection of King Carlos I.

The exhibition “Laços de Mar” (Ties of the Sea), by Braima Queta and Ildebranda Martins, opens on April 2 at the Campus da Justiça exhibition space in Lisbon.

Amália Rodrigues House-Museum
You’ll only get to know Amália Rodrigues better if you know how she lived. And in this visit to his House-Museum, you’ll know everything.
In this exhibition in Lisbon, at the home of the greatest fado singer of all time, you’ll find out what Amália’s day-to-day life was like, see the objects she wore, her clothes, her jewelry and the leisure spaces where she often spent her evenings with friends, singing until her voice hurt.

Banksy Museum
A exhibition at the Banksy Museum” is an unprecedented immersive experience, showing over 100 works by this mysterious street artist.
A space has been created to offer you an incredible and very dynamic experience, as if you were taking a journey through the streets where the artist left his work, all over the world.

Various exhibitions at the Marine Museum
The Marine Museum is right next to the Jerónimos Monastery, in Belém, and is a unique opportunity to discover a place full of history of the Portuguese navigators.
Here you can see the permanent exhibition, which presents the evolution of the Merchant Navy from the great feats of the Discoveries to the present day.
You can also admire ship models, maritime instruments and impressive replicas of real ships.
This is also where you can watch the famous candlelight concerts.

Pharmacy in Space
In this exhibition at Pharmacy Museum you’ll find out about the portable pharmacies used on the Space Shuttle Endeavour on the last journey of the millennium, in December 2000.
What’s more, be prepared to satisfy many curiosities, such as what was the first medicine to be administered in space, or what each emergency kit has in each of the trips into space.
