One of the most eagerly awaited moments has arrived: saying goodbye to 2025 and welcoming 2026. The best part? In Lisbon, there are several parties where you can celebrate the New Year in a big way, including the free celebration promoted by the local town hall in Praça do Comércio.

However, there is one important caveat: these tips refer to alternatives that came into our newsroom during the festive season. Tasca da Memória Lisbon

Another option for New Year’s Eve dinner is Tasca da Memória Lisboa, with a special menu prepared for a delicious farewell to 2025. After a welcome drink, the meal itself begins with pata negra ham with homemade brioche and green sauce, followed by braised king prawns with sweet potato puree, escabeche sauce and a drizzle of coriander oil.
In addition, the dinner menu includes a “Rossini” beef tenderloin with celeriac puree, fried corn and Madeira wine sauce, paired with Vinha Othon do Dão. To end on a sweet note, dessert combines an almond tart with lavender cream, cinnamon ice cream and lemon gums. When it’s time to toast the New Year, there will be raisins, drinks and a live DJ set.

New Year’s Eve at the Lisbon Marriott Hotel
The Lisbon Marriott Hotel has become accustomed to the quality of its themed parties. So, of course, to celebrate the arrival of 2026, there is a special New Year’s Eve event.
On the night of December 31st, it offers a complete experience with dinner and entertainment until 3am. And this year New Year’s Eve promises to be more ‘caliente’ with a live Latin American-inspired show featuring a singer, dancers and a DJ.
Led by Chef Dominic Smart, the evening begins with canapés, followed by an irresistible buffet with wild mushroom tartelette, duck satay, roast sea bass, glazed pork, confit duck, roast veal ribs and other options, such as a selection of fresh salads. We’ve tried it all and it’s an unmissable delight!

“Venetian Masked Ball” at Rocco
Rocco, one of Lisbon’s most beautiful restaurants, is preparing a special themed event for the farewell of 2025: an exclusive dinner and supper under the theme “Venetian Masked Ball”.
To complement the decoration of the space, full of gold details, each guest will receive a matching mask to immerse them in the spirit of the ball. And, of course, there’s a formaldress code.
The party kicks off with a welcome drink consisting of a Bellini and a variety of canapés. Created by Chef Ricardo Bolas, the menu combines Mediterranean cuisine with excellent ingredients:
- Carpaccio of king prawns with beluga caviar
- Champagnerisotto
- Fillet of sea bass al tartufo
- And Black Forest for dessert
The celebration offers an alternative menu for vegetarians with Zucchini alla parmigiana, Dried tomato risotto, Ricotta ravioli and the same dessert (mentioned above).
From 11pm to 2am, an open bar is available and after the midnight toast, save room in your belly for a supper with two options: Prego de lombo or Club sandwich de legumes.

To further diversify the list of New Year’s Eve parties in Lisbon, how about a trip back in time? After the success of the first edition, the “Governor’s Ball” is back for another exclusive and exquisite experience, harking back to the old evenings of the 17th century.
The luxurious 5-star boutique hotel is the setting for a party that combines sophistication, signature cuisine and entertainment. The program includes VIP on arrival, welcome cocktail, gala dinner, live music, DJ; a private party after midnight and more.

The Sheraton Cascais hotel is holding a special celebration to embrace 2026. On the evening of December 31, starting at 8pm, there is a complete themed event that includes: welcome drink, festive dinner and live music.
In addition, the initiative includes a Kids Club from 9.30pm to 3am with special activities for the little ones. It should also be noted that the dinner concept is based on a buffet with festive dishes.
