The 4th edition of the MEO KALORAMA festival has already arrived at Lisbon’s Bela Vista Park, where it will be spreading lots of good music until June 21. If you haven’t already got your daily ticket and/or general pass, we recommend that you do so as soon as possible. After that, all you have to do is enjoy the best that the surrounding area has to offer.
After all, Parque da Bela Vista is one of the largest green spaces in the capital and is located in the eastern part of Lisbon, almost to the emblematic Parque das Nações. So it’s in this area that you’ll find most of our suggestions. From art galleries to gastronomy, there’s plenty to do before the concerts .
Bela Vista Park
Although during the days of the MEO KALORAMA festival it will be “busy”, we couldn’t help but suggest the very park where this summer music event will take place.
So, as soon as the concerts are over, we invite you to come and see one of the highest areas in Lisbon, with an incredible view over the capital and the Tagus River, with a picnic area, viewpoints and several hiking tra ils.

Vale da Montanha Urban Park
This verdant park, very close to the MEO KALORAMA site, was created as a natural link between Parque da Bela Vista, Bairro do Armador, Olaias and Avenidas Novas.
It has a play area with themed equipment, a kiosk and two squares, as well as several walking routes and an intersection with a cycle path.

Marvila Skatepark
Among the various skateparks where you can have fun doing aerial tricks in Lisbon, the one in Marvila is the closest to the festival, also known as the Vale de Chelas Skatepark.

Marvila neighborhood
And speaking of Marvila, which is one of Lisbon’s most typical and alternative neighborhoods, we suggest several incredible places:
- 8 Marvila: Lisbon’s most recent multicultural and entrepreneurial business hub;
- Dois Corvos: the first tap room of its kind in Portugal;
- Vertigo Climbing: indoor climbing space with a 400m climbing wall;
- Underdogs Gallery: hosts exhibitions and artist residencies and focuses on the most prominent artists in urban art
- Fábrica Moderna: a space where you can breathe creativity and inspiration;
- Fábrica Braço de Prata: has a restaurant, bookshop, concert hall and ballroom.

Parque das Nações Marina
On your way to the center of one of the Portuguese capital’s newest districts, you’ll find a huge, wide promenade next to the Parque das Nações Marina, with its extensive gastronomic offer.
With 400 moorings, this marina attracts national and international visitors, as well as being the starting point for sailing, canoeing, navigation courses and boat rental.

Lisbon Oceanarium
Your visitto the MEO KALORAMA music festival is only complete if you visit the Lisbon Oceanarium, which is the most visited cultural facility in Portugal.
It is also one of the most incredible saltwater tanks in the world, with the capacity to house around 8,000 animals and plants of more than 500 species.
Parque das Nações
This is one of the most modern neighborhoods in the entire city, with an endless array of things to do and visit, including three incredible places:
- Vasco da Gama Tower Babylon 360º: is located in one of Lisbon’s most iconic buildings, and has a wonderful view;
- Telecabine Lisboa: for one of the most fantastic panoramic walks you can take in the city;
- Urban art pieces: There are 15 pieces of urban art that you can admire during the three days of the festival.
