In these restaurants, the space is all theirs
Children’s Day deserves to be celebrated in a special way with the family, with a different kind of lunch or dinner.
To make this day even happier, and more delicious, we’ve highlighted a series of restaurants where taking the little ones along doesn’t turn into a painful adventure, largely because of the exclusive spaces for all the kids, as well as other surprises.
Vasco da Gama Aquarium
Children’s Day at the Vasco da Gama Aquarium, one of the oldest in the world, is sure to be a hit with the little ones.
The space is increasingly modern. As well as tanks full of fish, history and museum areas, it has added an interactive area where the little ones can have lots of fun drawing their own versions of marine animals.
On this special day, the Vasco da Gama Aquarium will have various activities and surprises for the little ones, with traditional games and a story reading, as well as the presence of the TransforMAR project and a special guest, the Tuga Turtle.
Address: Rua Direita do Dafundo (Cruz Quebrada-Dafundo)
Inflatables in Paiva Couceiro Square
The Parish Council of Penha de França has announced that there will be lots of fun going on at Paiva Couceiro Square, from inflatables, balloon modeling, stalls with games and various other surprises.

Take him to see the movie “Garfield, The Movie”
Garfield, the world’s most famous cat, who hates Mondays and loves lasagna, is about to go on a crazy outdoor adventure!
After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father, Garfield and his friend Odie are forced to leave their pampered lives behind to join Vic in a hilarious, high-risk heist that you can watch at one of the Cinema City theaters.
We recommend these theaters because the little ones can also enjoy the Garfield Pack, which is a metal Popcorn Bucket and a Garfield Cup.
Children’s Day at Praça
Praça in Beato also joined in the celebrations of World Children’s Day, between 12 noon and 4pm, with activities for all tastes, from face painting, balloon modeling, mural painting, space for cycling and skateboarding, traditional games and much more.
Special brunch at Mama Shelter
The special World Children’s Day brunch will take place on June 2 (Sunday) and features a buffet full of options specially made to celebrate all children, and there’s even a fabulous chocolate fountain.
