Eyes Wide Shut & Masquerade Ball

Three new exhibitions at MAAT
From September 18th, there are three new exhibitions that you can admire at MAAT:
- “Black Ancient Futures” brings to Portugal African artists and/or members of the vast African diaspora who reimagine a past, a present and a future for the black artistic experience in a transcontinental reality;
- “The Whole World is a Stage”, by William Klein , one of the most influential photographers of the second half of the 20th century;
- “INVERTED ON US” is an exhibition featuring new works by Portuguese artist Catarina Dias.
“CARRY ME – 100 Years of Suitcases”
Art has arrived at Colombo with an exhibition on the last 100 years of suitcases, featuring iconic pieces from renowned fashion brands Chanel, Dior, Gucci, Hermès, Jacquemus, Prada and Whiting & Davis.

Puppet Museum: the art of storytelling
In the Madragoa neighborhood you’ll find a space that allows you to travel the world through the history of puppets. A museum that deserves to be visited, whatever your age.

Banksy Museum
The Banksy exhibition in Lisbon is now the Banksy Museum, in a clear commitment by the city to a site that has received more and more visitors since it opened in the summer of 2022. And there are 12 new works for you to see!

At the Museum of Contemporary Art

Lisboa Mistura Festival
On the afternoon of October 13, the Lisboa Mistura event returns to the Capitólio. This year it will bring together musical projects from different diasporas that live in Lisbon.
With free entry, subject to capacity, this edition will showcase the aesthetic and sonic heritage of different latitudes, from the Cape Verdean Funaná of Memé Landim to the Ukrainian polyphony of Litá Folk Band; from the Afro-Brazilian samba resistance of Coletivo Gira to the urban popular music of Guinea-Bissau by Guto Pires, from the Portuguese tradition of Adufe & Alguidar to the pan-African percussions of Mick Trovoada, passing through the pedagogical Hip-Hop of OPA – Oficina Portátil de Artes or the new reincarnation of the LisNave project, which includes rapper Valete, saxophonist Carlos Martins, guitarist Jery Bidan, bassist Francisco Rebelo, percussionist Iúri Oliveira and drummer Alexandre Frazão.
