Digital travel magazine Condé Nast Traveller has once again published its list of the most beautiful streets in the world, and Portugal has two of them in this ranking, one of them in Lisbon.
There are 71 streets featured in this ranking by the renowned magazine, which stand out for their architecture, history and incomparable beauty.
From the alleys of France to the streets of the Old Town in Lijiang, China, this trip also takes you to two Portuguese stops, one of which, in Lisbon, is already a regular on these urban beauty lists.
The streets that are worth a visit
There’s no doubt that to get to know a village, town or city you have to walk its streets, get to know the people who tread its uneven parallels every day.
In Lisbon we have our own list of streets that are really worth a walk; we also have the more “secret” of the city; the with the more beautiful names, and also the most strangers; streets green e pink; and even streets iconic; but we also have one of the most beautiful in the world, which once again makes the list of the most beautiful, which is Rua da Bica, which this time came in 26th place.
For us, he will always have first place in our hearts, and just behind so many other beautiful streets in Lisbon, for which we are madly in love and eternal visitors.
The C0ndé Nast Traveller list also highlights another Portuguese street, which comes in at an incredible 4th place: the streets of Águeda, known for their decoration with colorful hats suspended in the air, giving these streets a vibrant magic that attracts tourists from all over the world.
Águeda’s streets are second only to the historic center of Colmar in France (1st place); the picturesque village of Breinz in Switzerland (2nd place); and Setenil de Las Bodegas in Spain (3rd place), famous for its houses built directly into the rocks along the Guadalporcúnriver.
The list of 71 streets condé Nast Traveller’s is complete with the famous streets of Copenhagen, Denmark, but it also takes you to destinations as exotic as they are stunning, from the United Kingdom to Singapore, from Vietnam to the United States. They definitely deserve a visit whenever you get the chance.
