After Francesinhas Week, the most recent Michelin-starred chef, Chef Marlene, is back with a concept that seems to appeal to those who enjoy a good snack with that more refined touch that only this chef can provide: Leitão Week.
This time, the delicious suckling pig will enter the doors of Zunzum Gastrobar between March 23 and 30.
Marlene Vieira and the King of Piglets
Roast suckling pig is one of our favorite dishes, and in Lisbon we love to eat it at these places, which prepare it to perfection. However, we’re sorry, but between March 23 and 30 we have to go and try this delicacy elsewhere… because the King is here.
What better help could Chef Marlene have if she didn’t team up with a specialist in this raw material? We’re talking about the King of Piglets, who will be appearing at Zunzum Gastrobar on March 29 to explain why this restaurant in Mealhada is recognized by the Michelin Guide, as well as bringing his iconic dishes to the capital.
The menu is appetizing
One of Portugal’s most emblematic dishes will be prepared and integrated into a special menu, which will combine tradition with innovation, in a gastronomic event that promises to be memorable, not only for lovers of this recipe but also for all those looking for versatility and new ways to enjoy these typical delicacies:
- Piglet Croquette with Orange Chutney: (8€/2 pieces)
- Piglet Gyozas: (12€/4 pieces)
- Piglet Escabeche and Chips (12€)
- Ramen with suckling pig (18€)
- Suckling Pig Porchetta, Leaf Salad and Orange (21€)
- Pulled Pork with Piglet, Cucumber Pickle and Coleslaw (17€)
To accompany all this, there is a winepairing with Portuguese sparkling wines, thus reinforcing this link to national tradition
