The heat has been unrelenting and Lisbon is one of the areas most affected by the high temperatures. But that doesn’t have to be a problem. After all, you can always take the opportunity to dive and/or (re)discover incredible spots like the Lagoa do Falcão Water Park.
Located about 50 minutes’ drive from Lisbon, in Outeiro da Cabeça, in the municipality of Torres Vedras, this is no ordinary water park. There are no giant slides or queues for artificial pools . The center of gravity is a natural lagoon.
Attractions at Lagoa do Falcão Water Park
With leisure options for all ages, at this spot you can enjoy unforgettable family moments with alternatives for all tastes. For example, for those who are fans of extreme activities, the following stand out: stand up paddle, canoeing and a 200-meter mega slide.
If, on the other hand, what you’re really looking for is to relax and ‘toast’ in the sun, don’t worry. After all, at the heart of the Lagoa do Falcão Water Park is a private beach with fine sand and crystal-clear water, perfect for swimming and spreading out your towel.
Other (very) fun highlights
In addition to the activities already mentioned, this water park also offers other possibilities, such as axe throwing, archery, climbing and more.
However, one of the highlights is undoubtedly the mythical Pirate Island, located in the center of the lagoon. Get ready to follow clues, find the hidden key and open the mysterious Treasure Chest, all on Lisbon’s doorstep.
New for summer 2025
This year, one of the novelties has a particularly educational essence – the “Eco-Nests”, which consists of an ecological activity with a special focus on environmental awareness, while playing.
More useful information
From June to September, in the height of the summer season, the Lagoa do Falcão Water Park is open daily from 10am to 7pm, with day tickets starting at €24. However, it is also possible to buy family tickets with various activities.
