
When the days start to get longer, it’s the ideal time to look for natural destinations to visit, such as natural pools and waterfalls.
The breathtaking landscapes that our country offers are also reasons why this type of destination is a favorite.
And of course, attractions such as the famous swings, which allow us to contemplate all this splendor, are naturally at the top of the list of reasons to visit a particular place.
We’ve already talked about Portugal’s largest swing, which opened at the beginning of July, and the Cervo swing, which offers an incredible view of the River Minho all the way to the Atlantic Ocean, but all over the country there are more and more swings that are just as breathtaking.
So we went in search of some that are really worth a visit and that can offer a different experience, perhaps on a planned weekend getaway.

Trevim Swing
This is located at the highest point of the Serra da Lousã , in Alto do Trevim, at an altitude of around 1,200 meters.
As well as the panoramic view, it’s an excellent place (like all the others) to take some good photos and create memories.
Nossa Senhora da Luz Swing
This swing is in the parish of Bem Viver, Marco de Canaveses. It is located in the Divino Salvador Park and overlooks the Douro.
São Gens Swing
It’s in Castelo de Paiva and offers a panoramic view over the Douro. It is located on Monte de São Gens, in Santa Maria de Sardoura.
Swing 440
This is a swing dedicated to lovers. Apart from the view, it stands out for the phrase carved into the wood “The love that unites us”.
It ‘s in Fafe, next to the Chapel of Santa Marinha in Freitas.
Spoon Swing
Equally spectacular, this swing is in Aguiar da Beira, in the district of Guarda, and promises a sensational experience to anyone who visits.
Boa Vista Swing
It’s always open, like many others, and is located in Pampilhosa da Serra. It has a breathtaking and very inviting view.
Penedros da Cabeça Swing
This swing has a very simple proposal: “Sit and Feel”. It was built by a young man with the aim of attracting visitors to nature, which is one of the region’s strengths.
It is located at one of the highest points in the parish of Ferreira das Aves, in the district of Viseu.
Pisco Swing
The idea of a group of young people gave birth to a new attraction in the Serra do Pisco dedicated to those who visit and want to get in touch with nature.
It stands at an altitude of 989 meters and is located in the municipality of Trancoso, in the district of Guarda.
Talegre Swing
In Alburitel, Ourém, there is a new swing that promises to delight kids and adults alike.
In the Serra do Talegre you can breathe fresh air and enjoy nature, making it the ideal location for this project, developed by local youngsters.
Nazaré Swing
“It was love at first sight” is the name of the swing installed in front of Nazaré Beach.
It’s next to the path with stairs to Sítio da Nazaré and, like all the other swings on this list, the photos taken here are stunning.
These are just some of the most beautiful swings that exist from north to south.
There are many more and some very interesting ones, in the middle of natural pools, for example, which are sure to delight many.
