Eating (a lot) and well is a Portuguese tradition. After all , from north to south, there are many restaurants that preserve the flavors of yesteryear. But it is in respect for origins and curiosity for innovation that true excellence is achieved , which is recognized annually in Portugal at the Michelin Guide ceremony .
In fact, the winners of the Michelin Stars were announced on Tuesday, March 10, at a gala held in Funchal (in the Autonomous Region of Madeira). In total, the Michelin Guide Portugal 2026 brings together 53 recognized establishments , nine with two stars (one of which is a new entry) and 44 with one star (including ten new entries).
