English artist Paul Insect is presenting his latest art collection, “Broken Vision”, at the Underdogs Gallery in Marvila, from September 5 to November 1 this year (2025).
This is the much-anticipated debut of British artist Paul Insect in Portugal, in an event that will be a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a selection of 22 original works, all created on purpose for this show, highlighting the disruptive visual language that has established the artist on the international circuit.

A visual language between the artisanal and the provocative
Paul Insect is a central figure in London’s street art scene of the 1990s and the beginning of the new millennium, having built his career on anonymity and an unequivocally subversive visual proposal.
His universe is made up of collages, graphic layers and masked characters who inhabit the threshold of theater and caricature.
The exhibition “Broken Vision” explores the excess of information, surveillance and the noise of appearances, themes that are increasingly topical on the contemporary scene.
Among the techniques that distinguish “Broken Vision” are dotwork and reminiscences of serigraphy and photocopying, underlining the tension between the imperfect manual gesture and the aesthetics of graphic reproducibility, with cut-out eyes and mouths being the main protagonists of the compositions, suggesting profound questions about identity and representation.

The exhibition will open on September 5, but an exclusive online viewing room will be available from September 3 on the Underdogs website, allowing you to explore and purchase the unique works and, for the first time, two limited editions developed by Paul Insect especially for this occasion.
