The 25 de Abril Bridge will once again undergo maintenance work that could affect traffic between Lisbon and Almada (and vice versa), but only during the night, and the authorities guarantee that the impact on all motorists using the bridge during these interventions will be reduced.
The paving work, which will last from October 9 until November 5, between 9pm and 6am on weekdays, aims to guarantee the safety and durability of the infrastructure, which is one of the most emblematic and busiest in the country.
The best alternatives
The work begins this Thursday, October 9, and is expected to last less than a month, with road traffic being restricted on the main deck.
This means that you can use the Fertagus trains to get to the city, or opt for the Vasco da Gama Bridge, which connects Lisbon to Alcochete.
