On our latest foray to discover the best beaches along the line, on a train journey which was fantastic, we had to stop a few times… to replenish our energy, of course! And we found a number of fantastic restaurants on the Cascais line.
And along the way, we’ve noticed some places that are really worth a stop , whether it’s for lunch, a snack or even dinner.
We found almost everything, from hamburger menus, toast for a snack, pizzas and even sushi by the beach. Let’s get to know these places one by one.

Xana Esplanade Bar
We’ve been here a few times, and Xana is one of our favorite restaurants on the Cascais line. The range of dishes on offer is very good and here you can have a good grilled fish of the day, a good portion of fried cuttlefish, octopus salad or the typical bitoque, among other dishes to enjoy overlooking the beach and the sea .
And it is precisely here that the Esplanada Xana Bar beats some of its competitors on the Cascais line, in its direct view of the ocean.
