Panda Cantina
O Panda Cantina is a Cantonese restaurant that serves spectacular ramen, very rich in flavor and prepared with the freshest ingredients, especially the coriander, which is always fresh, and the meat (pork or beef) used to make this wonderful meal.
Located in the heart of Rua da Prata 252 (very close to Praça da Figueira), in Lisbon, Panda Cantina excels in being a very secluded space where you’ll find a communal table that runs from one end of the restaurant to the other. Next to this is the counter, with seats facing the place where all the dishes and menus prepared in this friendly restaurant are prepared.
Address: Rua da Prata 252 (Praça da Figueira); Rua Joaquim António de Aguiar 73D; Rua de São Marçal 86; Rua de Entrecampos 14A
Ajitama Ramen Bistro
It’s one of the most renowned ramen places in the city, and has made it straight onto the list of the best ramen restaurants in Lisbon.
After all, we’re talking about the heir to the Ajitama Super Club, which has delighted many fans of this oriental specialty.
At the places on Avenida Duque de Loulé and Rua do Alecrim, you can try the famous Shio and Hakata Tonkotsu, but also other delicious options such as Miso or Veggie.
Address: Avenida Duque de Loulé 26 (Marquês de Pombal); Rua do Alecrim 47A (Chiado)
Afuri
After gaining fame in Japan and the United States, this Japanese restaurant chain has chosen Lisbon to enter Europe and… we thank you. Thanks to Afuri (and half a dozen other illustrious people), we can enjoy authentic ramen, as if we were in a Japanese tavern.
If you like strong flavors, don’t miss the tonkotsu shio ramen, made with pork belly, soybean sprouts, black garlic oil, pickled ginger and egg.
Another of the most famous options is the spicy Yuzu Ratan, which contains chicken broth, bamboo shoots, seasoned egg, chashu pork, spring onions, sesame, nori seaweed and yuzu citrus.
Address: Rua Paiva de Andrade 7 (Chiado); Avenida Dom João II 45 (Parque das Nações)
Magokoro Ramen
It’s next to santa Apolónia station one of the newest places to try delicious ramen is Magokoro Ramen.
As soon as you enter, you realize that you have passed through a portal that automatically takes you to a typical Japanese tavern, with a decor that left us stunned.
As for the house specialty, ramen, the broth is the real highlight and is prepared with pork or chicken bones and boiled for several hours to get that rich, intense flavor, taking you on a unique and immersive experience.
Address: Rua Caminhos de Ferro 136 (next to Santa Apolónia station)
Nood
We’re suspicious because we love this restaurant in Chiado, but the truth is that the ramen specialties made at this spot are to die for.
And the location helps too! It’s very well decorated and very comfortable, perfect for lunch or dinner with friends… with ramen, of course.
Address: Rua da Trindade 14 (Chiado)
Ramen Shifu
Of all the restaurants that appear on this list, the Ramen Shifu will be the one with the most Japanese pop culture details and decorations… and that’s not a bad thing.
On the contrary, the ramen we were served here, by a friendly robot, is some of the best you can taste in Lisbon. And this is proven by the number of people at the door, especially at dinner.
Address: Rua Luciana Cordeiro 104 (Marquês de Pombal/Saldanha)
