There is already a release date for the new Nike Air Max Plus “Lisboa”, a limited edition inspired by the traditional Portuguese blue and white tiles found on many buildings and monuments in Lisbon.
The sneakers feature blue and white prints on the mesh, referring to our tiles, as well as gold details on the Nike logo and the word “Lisboa” on the tongue of the sneaker.
Main features and release date
According to Foot Locker Europe, the release date is scheduled for October 9, and there’s even a campaign with the young Sporting Clube de Portugal player, Geovany Quenda, promoting the new pair of sneakers from the American brand.
In addition to the yellow details (of course!) and the word “Lisbon” on the tongue, the latest version of the Nike Air Max Plus also stands out for its special pendant with a clear reference to the Portuguese capital, where it replaces the city’s coat of arms (next to the black and white triangles) with the brand’s logo.
Also noteworthy is the tile patterned sole (Portuguese sidewalk?!) with a translucent central area.
So you know, if you’re a fan of this type of exclusive Nike collector’s item, from tomorrow you can make your purchase on the Foot Locker website and be part of a historical and artistic legacy of the country and the capital.
