Christmas is over, but the magic of musicals continues in Lisbon with one of the biggest international hits: “Cats”.
Almost three years after its last visit to Portugal, this timeless musical returns to the national territory with two stops: first, in the capital, at Sagres Campo Pequeno, from January 6 to 11; and, secondly, in Porto, at the Super Bock Arena, from January 14 to 18.
A timeless hit

If there’s a show that never gets old, “Cats” is one of them. Andrew Lloyd Webber ‘s masterpiece , inspired by the poetry of T.S. Eliot, is the perfect fusion of various performing arts, including singing and dancing. Even several decades after its premiere in London in 1981, the musical continues to amaze kids and adults alike.
For those who like numbers, the ones in “Cats” are truly impressive. After all, the musical has been seen by more than 77 million people and has toured more than 50 countries. This intergenerational phenomenon now brings the original production sung in English to Portugal, but with Portuguese subtitles.
Tickets are on sale online and at the usual venues, with prices ranging from €35 to €65.
