Mother’s Day is always a very important date in the national calendar, so we’ve put together a series of ideas of what you can offer your mother on this very special day, from beauty and wellness experiences to tastings at some of Lisbon’s most captivating restaurants, or even the typical bouquet of flowers at one of our favorite florists.

In addition to all the tips above, we want this day to be unlike any other, so we’re giving you a series of tips with some of the most incredible and different experiences you can do as a couple with your mother.
Brunch by the pool
We start this guide with a poolside brunch, an event that will take place every weekend until the end of summer, but which will have a special occasion on May 5 at the Lisbon Marriott Hotel.
During the day you could also be lucky enough to win some gifts from Alfaparf Milano, At Cosmetics & Funfashion, Clinique, Conto de Fadas, Dara Jewels, Estée Lauder, Farmácia Saude Mayor, Gant, Nomination, O Boticário, Tata Jewels, Trema Gallery and Watx.

Surprise lunch with 1 Michelin star
Our gastronomic guide for Mother’s Day also includes the suggestion of a surprise lunch at the Michelin-starred Eleven restaurant.
This is one of those experiences where excellence, quality, mystery and taste are the only ingredients we can tell you about.
The only downside is that this plan is only available on weekdays and Saturdays, but that won’t be a problem, will it? If it is, we’re sure that one of these other Michelin-starred restaurants in Lisbon will be available on Mother’s Day itself.
Address: Rua Marquês da Fronteira (Jardim Amália Rodrigues)
Hours: Monday to Friday, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Executive Menu suggestion: at Fever
Snacking on oysters in a very special place
It’s time for a snack , and the milder weather invites lighter, fresher meals. That’s why Vila Bica is the ideal place to take your mother, especially if she’s a fan of oysters.
The best oysters in town are eaten here, with a privileged view of one of Lisbon’s most photographed elevators, the Bica.
Address: Rua dos Cordoeiros 2-4 (next to the Bica elevator, lower area)
Special menu times: every day from 12:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Suggested oyster menus: on Fever

Three croissants to choose from
And because some mothers are very greedy, Maria Croissant suggests three delicious croissants.
For the more traditional moms, we’ve chosen the option with egg cream filling, which is sure to bring back fond childhood memories; for family moms, the version with strawberry jam fits in perfectly with all family moments, from breakfast to snacks; and for the more refined moms, the apple and cinnamon croissant is the right choice
Dinner in the dark
We end our gastronomic suggestions with this surprise, which we’re sure your mother will love. A blindfolded dinner where the taste buds of each participant are put to the test.
The next ones take place on May 9 and 16 and we have a 15% discount code for each of these sessions at the Obicà Mozzarella Bar restaurant.
Address: Rua da Escola Politécnica 90 (Príncipe Real)
Brunch times: May 9th and 16th at 9pm
Brunch suggestion: at Fever
Theater plays
If your mother likes culture, take her to see one of the many plays on stage in the city.
If you don’t have any references for her, or you don’t know what she likes best, whether it’s a comedy or a more intense drama, follow our guide to plays in Lisbon with some of the most exciting stories.
The immersive play “The Death of the Raven” is our suggestion, and we’re sure it will surprise your mother with the originality and dynamics of this whole project, which is not very common in Lisbon.
Spas, massages and saunas
Every mother deserves a very special pampering on this day. But how about accompanying her on these experiences?
Our guides to the best spas, the most relaxing massages and the most invigorating saunas in Lisbon are just a few suggestions that promise a good time for two, or more, depending on the number of children.
If you want to opt for a relaxing getaway, our advice is to add these spa resorts to your car’s GPS.
Tickets to candlelit concerts
If your mother likes flowers, then you really must take her to a classical music concert by candlelight, in places that are always spectacular.
The big difference with the traditional Candlelight concerts is that these will also feature flowers, lots of flowers, which are sure to give the whole intimate atmosphere an even more special glow.
The next ones will take place in May:
- Candlelight: The Best of Hans Zimmer on May 3rd
- Candlelight Spring: The Best of ABBA on May 31st
Gift voucher
If you’ve made it this far, it’s because none of our ideas can satisfy your mother and make this a very special day, but that’s okay, because the app where you can book and buy tickets for all kinds of attractions in the city, Fever, also has gift cards, ranging from €20 to €80, which can then be exchanged for Fever experiences in restaurants, culture and shows, Candlelight concerts, courses and workshops, exhibitions, among many other activities.
We’re sure Fever will have something to surprise you on Mother’s Day.
