The arrival of spring is more than enough reason to celebrate: the short days and cold, rainy nights are over and, at the restaurant that cooks delicious Indian and Nepalese dishes, a menu will be served with delicacies that you really have to try.
Recently awarded a Michelin Guide recommendation , the Oven restaurant is one of our favorite places to try Nepalese and Indian food in the capital, and we’ll have to go back because it has just launched a great new dish.
Menu inspired by Holi Week
With the arrival of spring, Oven is launching a special menu inspired by the vibrant festival of colors in India and Nepal, Holi Week, bringing together the authentic flavors of these two countries.
Chef Hari Chapagain has prepared a menu that is a real tribute to the Holi Festival, with traditional dishes from India and Nepal, from classic curries such as Tikka Masala (with tiger prawns or chicken) and Lamb Shank Biryani, to vegetarian options such as Palak Panner. For spicy lovers, the Madras Curry or the Vindaloo are the ideal choice.
You can – and should – also try the Nepalese specialties, such as MOMO dumplings and Crispy Mushroom Chilly and, in the tandoor, Gurkha Lamb Chop and Tawa Fish, both made with Nepalese spices.
To accompany any of these delicacies, Oven also offers an original cocktail menu and delicious desserts.
