It’s this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, that the Coala Festival kicks off in Cascais, with almost everything ready for the Manuel Possolo Racetrack to host the best of music from three different continents: Europe, America, and Africa.
If you’ve already secured your ticket —if not, you can buy yours on Fever —we suggest you start getting everything ready now so you don’t miss a single note from artists like Caetano Veloso, Marina Sena, or Slow J this weekend.
So, and so that your only concern is enjoying the best concerts at Coala Festival Portugal, we’ve put together a guide with all the information you need to know before leaving home.
General festival information

The 2026 edition of Coala Festival Portugal will once again take place in Cascais, at the Manuel Possolo Racetrack, on May 30 and 31.
This summer’s first music festival is recommended only for those 6 years of age and older, and children under 3 are not permitted.
Doors open at 3:00 PM and are scheduled to close at 12:30 AM on both days.
Tickets and access to the QR code
If you’ve already bought your ticket, you should have received it via the email address you registered with, in PDF format with a QR code.
You can download it to your phone, bring a printed copy, or access the QR code directly in the Fever app, under the “Tickets” tab, by logging in with the same email address used for your purchase.
How to get to the festival

The festival takes place outside the city of Lisbon, in Cascais; if you’re coming by private vehicle, you can park your car in the recommended parking lots:
- Marechal Carmona Park, at Avenida da República 389
- Cascais Center, on Rua D. Francisco de Avilez
- Marina de Cascais, at Casa de S. Bernardo
Reduced mobility
The festival has specific access points for people with reduced mobility, with two main entrances: one via the parking lot gate at Parque Marechal Carmona (R. Visc. Gandarinha 166–194, Cascais) to the VIP area; and another via the parking lot gate at Hipódromo Manuel Possolo (Av. da República 553) to the grassy area.
There is also parking with spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility at Praceta Domingos D’Avilez, on Avenida da República.
Traffic restrictions during the festival
On May 30 and 31, there will be traffic disruptions on Av. República after the Coala Festival ends. On the 31st, between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., traffic will also be restricted between Av. D. Carlos I (from the João Paulo II Roundabout) and the Filipe Nobre de Figueiredo Roundabout, due to Children’s Day celebrations.

Access via public transportation and TVDE (discounts)
CP – Comboios de Portugal, asthe festival’s official transportation partner, is offering a special ticket for Lisbon’s Urban Trains on the Cascais Line: on concert days, you can buy a round-trip ticket for just €3 (upon presentation of your festival ticket)
If you’re coming by bus, Carris Metropolitana offers trips to Cascais: check the routes at carrismetropolitana.pt
For added comfort and safety, Coala Festival has also partnered with Bolt to offer discounts on rides to and from the Manuel Possolo Racetrack on May 30 and 31: use the promo code “COALA26” to get 25% off (up to €7.50 per ride, limited to two rides per user).
The drop-off zones for TVDE transportation are at the João Paulo II Roundabout (on May 30) and the Comendador Baraona Roundabout (on May 30 and 31).
Entry rules and prohibited items

As is standard at any event hosting a large number of people, you will be searched at the entrance in accordance with current legislation.
So, pay attention to the items you carry with you on concert days: items considered dangerous by the security team are not allowed, including:
- metal chains
- any sharp object
- firearms or bladed weapons
- explosive or pyrotechnic materials
- suitcases or backpacks larger than 40 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm
- chairs of any kind
- umbrellas
- flashlights
- lasers
- box of food in generous portions
- alcoholic beverages
- syringes
- drugs
- professional cameras
- selfie sticks
- rigid poles
- list
Similarly, glass bottles, plastic bottles, cans, or cups that are not the event’s official ones are not allowed inside; only small water bottles without caps are permitted.
