The proverb says “April showers bring May flowers,” but given the good weather of recent days, conditions are likely to be favorable for a true celestial spectacle in Lisbon: the April Full Moon.
Traditionally known as the Pink Moon, it is expected to reach its peak in the early hours of April 2 (at 3:12 a.m.), although you can already admire its splendor on April 1. So, grab your camera and get ready to capture some amazing moments.
Is the Moon really pink?

Despite its romantic name, don’t expect to see the Moon tinged with shades of pink. In fact, the name “Pink Full Moon” isn’t associated with the color of the Moon, but rather with Native American traditions that assigned different names based on the season.
In this sense, the Pink Moon is directly linked to the arrival of spring and a pink flower typical of North America.
Significance for Easter

According to the BBC website, the Pink Full Moon helps determine the date of Easter. How? Well, Easter is linked to significant astronomical events, always falling on the first Sunday after the first full moon following the spring equinox.
When is the next Full Moon?
After the Full Moon on April 2, the next one is scheduled for May 1 and is known as the Flower Moon. Interestingly, next month holds not one, but two Full Moons, as a second one is scheduled for May 31—the Blue Moon.
