Laughter is the best medicine and it’s good for your health. That’s why we believe that doctors should prescribe these Comedy Clubs in Lisbon, as a way of relieving the stress of everyday life for many Lisboners.
Lisbon is also a city where stand-up comedy seems to have caught on. Ever since the first episode of “Levanta-te e Ri”, which aired on SIC, the Portuguese have never let go of this type of entertainment.
We would even go so far as to say that Portugal has never had so many comedians, a generation that makes us laugh every day through satire on all kinds of subjects, from simple everyday life to politics, social issues and even love relationships.
There’s something for everyone, and that’s why we’d like to give a round of applause to all our comedians: thank you for making our days brighter.

Comedy clubs versus theaters
There are still few places dedicated solely to the art of making us laugh, but there are some venues in the city where certain nights are dedicated to these sessions full of humor, clever jokes and hilarious performances.
In these Comedy Clubs in Lisbon you’ll find a spectacularly cozy and intimate atmosphere, unlike what you might find, for example, in large theaters or pavilions, which many of our comedy artists use for their own shows.
In Comedy Clubs you’ll find spaces that are generally smaller and more intimate, allowing for a more direct connection between the comedians and their audience, and it’s this closeness that is able to offer you a unique experience, where the laughs flow freely and you feel part of something special.
It’s also in these smaller venues that you’ll find everything from established comedians to beginners, and it’s here that you’ll find the great talents that make us laugh on various digital platforms today.
At these Comedy Clubs in Lisbon you’ll also have the chance to attend themed performances and special evenings, from improvisation to shows in other languages, or even a Battle or Roast, which is when two comedians battle each other with the power of their jokes, or when they get together to make jokes about a third person, respectively.
