For over 100 years, Portugália has been synonymous with tables, socializing and, we confess, that iconic gravy stain that we’ve all taken home as a souvenir of a good meal.
That’s why, this Christmas , as a way of celebrating its 100th anniversary, the restaurant chain that offers one of the most delicious steaks in the country, decided to embrace this legendary “stain” and turn it into the center of a unique fashion collection: the “Ao Molho” Christmas sweaters, which can only be purchased on the Portugália website, where you can choose one of two versions: with “stains” of steak sauce (yellow) or wine (burgundy).
Best of all, these shirts come with two surprises: one for charity and one for gastronomy. Let’s get to know them better!
The charitable cause
The well-known “ugly Christmas sweaters” are already a habit of the Portuguese, who at this time of year also adhere to this fun fashion, especially with the family, indoors (almost always) and away from the eyes of the more Grinch-like people (laughs).
Whether you’re a fan or collector of this type of shirt, or just a foodie who enjoys the meals served in Portugália restaurants, these shirts are a super limited edition of just 200 units (100 of each color) and are on sale for just €20, half of which will be donated to one of the three charities of your choice at the time of purchase:
- Associação Mais Proximidade
- CEPAC – Father Alves Correia Center
- Semear – Land of Opportunities
Dinner for 4
As for the gastronomic aspect of this campaign, get four friends together and, each wearing one of these sweaters, go to any Portugália Brewery by January 18, 2026 to be entitled to a full Christmas dinner (€40/person). All you have to do is detach part of the small label inside each sweater.
More than just positioning Portugália as a fun brand, this campaign sees the festive season in a spirit of solidarity and socializing among friends. We’ve already got ours!
