The Tejo Vintage Train, CP – Comboios de Portugal’s most colorful train, will be running again for two special editions next Saturday, November 23 and 30.
This is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a trip aboard the famous Schindler carriages with panoramic windows, which allow you to better contemplate the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
The initiative covers two different programs, one of which takes you to Beira Baixa, passing by iconic sites such as Almourol Castle, Belver Castle and the Portas do Ródão Natural Monument.
The first program of the Tejo Vintage Train
In this first option, the train departs from Santa Apolónia Station in Lisbon at 8.55 a.m., with Entroncamento as its destination.
One of the highlights of the route is the chance to visit the National Railway Museum, which tells more than 160 years of history. Arrival in Lisbon is scheduled for 20:30.
The second program of the Tejo Vintage Train
This is probably the most beautiful route of all, linking Lisbon to Castelo Branco. During the journey, you can admire breathtaking landscapes and monuments.
So the best thing you can do is take a powerbank so you don’t let your cell phone battery die. After all, we bet you’ll want to record every moment to remember later.
The Tejo Vintage Train departs from Lisbon’s Santa Apolónia Station at 8.55 a.m. and is scheduled to leave Castelo Branco at 5.28 p.m. and arrive in the capital at 8.32 p.m.
