Festas do Mar returns to Cascais Bay from August 28th to September 7th, in what is already considered the “coolest” music festival in Greater Lisbon, outside the peak heat, because it’s near the sea.
As always, admission will be free, in an event that “awaits” all those who choose the end of August to go on vacation and who therefore take advantage of these Sea Festivities in Cascais.
Concerts on two stages… and fireworks
Like last year, the Sea Festivities in Cascais Bay are once again bringing many new features :
- Three stages with five concerts a day: from Thursday to Sunday, the Cascais Stage, in the middle of Cascais Bay, and the Super Bock Stage, which will be in the vicinity of the Citadel, continuing, as always, to privilege national music, with well-known names and new talents;
- Children’s concerts: of the five daily concerts, one is dedicated to the little ones, from Thursday to Saturday at 5pm in the Visconde da Luz Garden;
- And, on the last day, a unique concert by the Cascais Symphony Orchestra, which will play the best Portuguese music;
- Also noteworthy are the procession in honor of Our Lady of the Navigators and the fireworks over the bay, which promise to bring the festival to an apotheosis on September 7.
