We’ve been fans of the VICIO brand since the first day it landed in Lisbon, when we took the opportunity to try one of the city’s most appetizing smash burgers, and our list already has quite a few.
After almost a year of serving its smash burgers exclusively via delivery, this Spanish chain finally decided to take the next step by opening a physical space in one of Lisbon’s most fashionable neighborhoods. We went to find out all about it.
The new epicenter of smash burgers in the capital?
Lisbon has just gained a new destination for all fans of smash burgers. VICIO, the Spanish brand that turned the smash burger concept into a cult phenomenon on social media, opened its first restaurant in the capital on December 22 (2025): it’ s at Rua da Escola Politécnica 21, in the heart of the Princípe Real neighborhood.
The physical space, which marks the transition from digital success to an even more vibrant and local experience, comes after a partnership with Plateform, the group responsible for some of the country’s most successful gastronomic concepts.
What can you expect from the menu?
VICIO’s gastronomic proposal focuses on the smash burger technique, where the meat is pressed on the hot plate to obtain a caramelized and crispy crust, while maintaining the juiciness inside.
At the new restaurant in Lisbon, customers can find:
- Classics and novelties
- From traditional cheeseburgers with cheddar to more sophisticated options that include Iberico ham, black truffle or avocado;
- Variety
- There are alternatives for those who prefer crispy chicken, spicy options and vegan proposals;
- Sinful” endings
- The list of desserts, or happy endings, highlights the Nutella Cheesecake, the Oreo Tiramisu and the “Vice Creams” (vanilla ice creams with customizable toppings).
Príncipe Real’s new spot is not a one-off. According to Oriol de Pablo, the brand’s CEO,
