The Popular Saints in Belém take place at the festival better known as Grande Arraial de Belém, which takes place in one of the most unique locations in the city, where windmills are the hallmark: Parque dos Moinhos de Santana, in Belém.
In 2025, this festival will take place until June 15, offering a program full of music, dancing, entertainment and activities for all ages, with special emphasis on spaces dedicated to children, including inflatables and amusements.
The musical line-up
Music is usually the main attraction at any of Lisbon’s popular saints’ festivals, and the Grande Arraial de Belém is no exception, with the highlight being the big night of Santo António, on June 12, featuring artists such as Tudo ao Molho, Quimbé e Rubim, P*ta da Loucura, Hot Crazy Boy and the Party Animals.
The festival reinforces its family-friendly character, with food and drink stalls featuring traditional Portuguese cuisine and a few surprises, as well as karaoke, DJ sets and dancing.
Admission is free, with opening times starting at 5pm from Monday to Friday and 3pm on weekends and public holidays.
