Alto de Santo Amaro, next to the Chapel, is once again hosting the Popular Saints in Alcântara, through the Santo Amaro Pilgrimage , which this year takes place from June 24 to 29.
The end of the month marks the end of the Popular Saints festivities in the city, but not before heading to the Santo Amaro Pilgrimage in Alcântara, where you can eat and drink, as well as watch musical performances by some of the best-known Portuguese popular music singers.
You’ll also be able to count on the participation of the parish’s young people in the children’s marches from the elementary schools, with demonstrations of dance, gymnastics and theater.
During the six days of the Santo Amaro Pilgrimage, which annually attracts around 15,000 people to Alto de Santo Amaro, you’ll also be able to count on a varied cultural offer, capable of attracting families, groups of young people and people from all walks of life.
More room to party
Among the main highlights in terms of music and food and drink is the huge space in the square where the party and socializing will take place.
The catering space is also more accessible and comfortable, and with greater gastronomic diversity, with new restaurants and street food vans, as well as the usual street vendors selling ever-fresh drinks.

As happens every year, the musical line-up for Santos Populares in Alcântara is always incredible, and this year will be no exception.

Until Sunday, June 29, this Lisbon neighborhood will host the traditional Santo Amaro Pilgrimage and, as always, there will be plenty of entertainment near the Santo Amaro Chapel. Best of all, admission is free!
