Every year, Lisbon offers more places to enjoy the world’s best-known beer festival, the Oktoberfest, which takes place in Munich, Germany, around this time of year.
There are already a few options for this year, so today we bring you three more places: the Delirium Café Chiado, Gulden Draak Lisboa (Picoas) and Gulden Draak (Vasco da Gama) breweries, which until the end of October are offering you the chance to taste the six official beers of the Munich event:
- Hacker-Pschorr
- Hofbräu
- Löwenbräu
- Paulaner
- Spaten
- Augustiner
For owner Verônica Fernandes,
We always want to bring the best of the beer world to Portugal. For the second year running we will have all the beers from the Munich festival, which is an unprecedented feat and a joy! To accompany the experience, we have prepared delicious German food, also in vegan and vegetarian versions, so that everyone can join in this great get-together.”

Just for beer lovers
This isn’t the first time that Lisboners have had the chance to try all the beers served at the original Oktoberfest , and in the bars selected above, they can sample dozens of other brands:
- At Gulden Draak Lisboa: 50 taps on tap
- At Delirium Café Chiado: 35 taps
- And at Gulden Draak Vasco da Gama: 12 taps (only three of the official beers will be sold)

Special menus
In addition to the typical beers, you need to warm your stomach with the best of Bavarian gastronomy, so in these bars you’ll find a menu of typical German dishes, also with vegetarian and vegan versions, such as:
- Eisbein (pork knee)
- Veal, chicken or pork schnitzel
- Sausage duo with curry sauce and potato wedges
- Spätzle with cheese sauce and caramelized onions
- German sausage with potato salad, mustards, sauerkraut and caramelized onions
- Vegetable sausage with traditional accompaniments
- Apfelstrudel, served with vanilla or macadamia ice cream (dessert)

In addition to the gastronomy, you can also count on lots of beer raffles and giveaways, which reinforces the spirit of collective celebration of this huge beer festival, which is getting “closer and closer” to Lisbon, making Oktoberfest a meeting of cultures, tastes and traditions.
