“At Night in the Oceanarium”. That’s what Oceanário de Lisboa‘s latest plan is called if you want to make the most of this huge exhibition in Parque das Nações.
The program offers half-price tickets and exclusive talks with experts, under the more subdued but unique light of one of the world’s largest aquariums. But that’s not all!
The new “Night at the Oceanarium” program

Forget the crowds on weekend mornings or the hurried visits among tourists because, between January 5 and February 8 (2026), the Oceanário de Lisboa will be transformed as soon as the sun goes down, through the new “À Noite no Oceanário” program, which not only extends the hours of this space but also invites you to look around even more contemplatively, in an environment where silence and artificial lighting create a different choreography in the aquariums.
Get ready for a unique visual and sensory experience, with a more intimate atmosphere in which you can observe the animals more closely, observing their behaviors that often go unnoticed during the day.
For almost a month you’ll be able to admire the iconic central aquarium, as well as the four marine habitats, from an almost hypnotic perspective.
The news that only happens at night
This will also be a distinctive experience in terms of the visit itself, which, unlike a normal visit, will have marine educators strategically positioned at five key points in the exhibition during these evenings, ready to explain everything to you, tim-tim-tim, at the same time as answering questions or interacting with visitors who want to “find out more”.
This “after-hours” format is the ideal answer for those who prefer serenity to the hustle and bustle, allowing a deeper contact with ocean conservation in a setting that literally glows in the dark.
