Ice skating is one of the seasonal diversions that attracts the attention of kids and adults alike as the Christmas season approaches. However, it is an activity prone to a few ‘falls’, albeit fun ones. So if instead of practicing, you’d rather watch, there’s a musical waiting for you: “Nutcracker and the Kingdom of Ice”.
After winning over 100,000 people, the ice musical ‘invades’ the AM Arena stage at Alegro Alfragide from November 28 to January 11, 2026. It’s a show that combines a classic with a very current theme, such as the fight against bullying. And the best thing is that all this is presented with music, dance, theater and ice skating.
What can we expect from this ice musical?
In a statement sent to Lisboa Secreta, the synopsis is clear: “This year, Christmas is in danger!”. Only the characters Só Clara, the Candy Fairy and the brave Nutcracker can save the Christmas season, on a mission that takes them to the surprising Kingdom of Ice, where Santa Claus lives.
However, there are no adventures without setbacks, so in the course of their journey the heroes will encounter unlikely villains led by the Evil Woman. In the end, what will the outcome be? Whatever the outcome, this is a story that reinforces the power of friendship.
A luxury cast and other information
To bring the story of “The Nutcracker and the Kingdom of Ice” to life, the show has a luxury cast that includes names such as Vasco Pereira Coutinho, Mariana Pacheco and Ângela Costa, among others.
Tickets are already on sale online and at the official Nutcracker store, on the 1st floor of Alegro Alfragide, with starting prices from €16.05 (depending on the seat chosen).
