MB Way, in partnership with Carris and MTS (Metro Transportes do Sul), has just launched a campaign offering travel on these Lisbon public transport companies, with the aim of publicizing the service that already allows you to pay for Carris and MTS occasional tickets via MB Way .
The promotion will run until February 13, for all those who use this method of paying for their tickets, which have increased by a few cents this year.
How to take advantage of this offer
It’s quite simple: as soon as you get on one of these means of transport, use your MB Way app to buy your trip, using the QR code that appears on the validator (on board Carris buses, streetcars or elevators), or at MTS stations.
After the purchase, the amount deducted from your account will be returned in full in the form of a voucher in the MB Way app, which can then be converted into a balance in the MB Way Up! feature, and then transferred to your bank account within 15 days.
One trip per user
That’s right, you can only use this promotion once and the maximum refund is 5 euros. This means that, for example, for a trip on the Elevador de Santa Justa, which costs €6.10, you’ll only pay €1.10.
This campaign includes a total limit of 50,000 free journeys, and there will only be 50,000 users – MB Way users and Carris and MTS transport users – who will be able to take advantage of this simpler, more economical and more sustainable mobility in the city.
So, whether you’re exploring the iconic streetcar rides in the capital or commuting between Almada and Seixal on the MTS, this is an excellent way to do so while saving a few bucks.
