Lisbon Oceanarium

It’s no coincidence that, year after year, it is voted the World’s Best Aquarium (TripAdvisor’s Travelers Choice). Here, 8,000 organisms from 500 different species live, such as sharks, penguins, otters, rays, tropical fish and much, much more.
The Lisbon Oceanarium consists of a large central aquarium representing the global ocean and four adjoining aquariums that take us on a journey to the Atlantic, Antarctic, Pacific and Indian oceans.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, you’ll also find permanent and temporary exhibitions, as well as various extra programs on the premises, such as a vacation workshop!

Quinta pedagógica dos Olivais

Surrounded by buildings, the Quinta Pedagógica dos Olivais has been a little country retreat in the middle of the city for over 20 years.
Here, kids and adults can find vegetable gardens, orchards and lots of animals, such as donkeys, horses, goats, chickens and pigs, among others. It regularly organizes activities for schools and families and admission is free.

Vasco da Gama Aquarium

Inaugurated in 1898, this space in Algés features an aquarium with more than 250 live animals and a museum with hundreds of marine animals preserved in liquid and naturalized environments, such as fish, aquatic birds, turtles and marine mammals.
One of the ex-libris of the Vasco da Gama Aquarium is the D. Carlos I Oceanographic Collection, which exhibits zoological specimens collected by the king during the oceanographic campaigns of 1896-1897.

Lisbon Zoo

Open since 1884, Lisbon Zoo is home to around 2,000 animals of 350 species, including mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians.
It is a space dedicated to the promotion and preservation of countless animal and plant species, which invites you to spend a nice day with the family.
The zoo’s main attractions include the Dolphin Bay, the Little Farm, the Enchanted Forest, the free-flying bird shows and the cable car.
