With romantic and overwhelming ballads, Il Volo ‘s sweet voices and unmistakable style will echo in Lisbon, on one of Portugal’s biggest stages: the MEO Arena, on December 14 (Sunday), at 8pm. The famous Italian pop-opera trio promises to arouse great emotions in a unique concert.
After selling out the Aula Magna in October 2024, Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble will put on another great show with a series of originals and versions of classics such as “Hallelujah”, “The Sound of Silence” or “Amazing Grace”.

Il Volo & the charm of pop-opera
For those who don’t know them yet, Il Volo are an Italian trio with strong influences from the inescapable Andrea Bocelli. However, far from being a ‘copy’, the group formed in 2009 in the aftermath of their participation in the Italian TV show “Ti Lascio Una Canzione”, have been able to build a successful career thanks to their own essence and pop-operacharm.
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble were the first Italian artists to sign with Geffen Records, one of the most important American labels. Along the way, they have appeared on various television programs in Europe and the USA and were invited by Quincy Jones (one of music’s greatest legends) to take part in “We Are The World For Haiti” in 2010.

Awards & Collaborations
In all, Il Volo have released more than 16 albums, including studio works, live recordings and compilations. They have already been nominated for Latin Grammys.
In 2015, they won the Sanremo Song Festival with the song “Grande Amore” and won the 2016 Besançon Prize from the international press. They have also collaborated with renowned artists such as Plácido Domingo and Eros Ramazzotti.
